What war games do you recommend that are similar to Command & Conquer or Commandos? Besides Sudden Strike...??

Total War Medieval III will be coming to consoles, but no release date announced yet.

Crusader Kings 3 is on ps5 lol. That's definitely a strategy game, but probably not quite what you're looking for.

Xbox seems to have a lot more of these ports of pc strategy games for some reason. vaibhavpisal vaibhavpisal I recommend Expeditions Rome if you're ever in the mood for a tactics game.

War strategy I don't know, but Mini Motorways is a great strategy game of building roads. It's very addictive and wholesome at the same time, and it's cheap as hell

Thanks for your replies, everyone. I'm looking for war games, like Command & Conquer... Or games with a World War II theme.

Theres aways Fire Emblem on Switch, though I'm not sure how it is currently. Theres Unicorn Overlord which is an excellent rpg strategic games, though the team reliance gets really annoying as the time goes.
Theres also Brigantine which is okay, the bot there probably don't play by the rules.
But I don't remember any ww strategic games, sorry.

I would not suggest Crusader Kings 3 to any people on this forum. The PS5 version is clunky as fuck. Like, you had to shake your buttons and return to the main menu type of clunky and when this do not work , the only option is restarting the game.
Crusader King 3 has a serious issue that if you have a good amount of saves (and this happens often either by autosave or you saving often to avoid bad luck spam), the game loading increases drastrically.
Also this game is an event simulator with relativelly few strategic maneveurs(one can say that keep choosing to mary is considered a strategic part of it). This is the type of game made by people who are stupid pretending to be smart. I'm not kidding, theres alot of questionable events and things that doesn't make sense in this game.

That's a shame about the controls on ps5. I've only played it on PC so I didn't know that.

Also yeah, my previous PC used to take like literally 20 minutes loading the game (probably a big part of why my play time is so high lol). My new PC is almost top of the line, so I assume it's brute-forcing its way through the problem. Still takes like a minute, though.

I think the questionable mechanics come from the developers believing that a game has to be challenging, and you're expected to try to conquer the entire map. That's never been how I play it, though. For me it's more like The Sims. Granted I have to use my imagination a lot, because the rpg and sim mechanics aren't really that deep, as you said. Still, it's the only game that lets you simulate families going through history like this. In most strategy games you're the supreme overlord, and once you conquer people they're just gone forever, and other game genres don't do that kind of thing either. CK3 is pretty unique in that way and Paradox deserve some credit for that imo.

Definetly check out Company of Heroes. I've only played the first one and it's one of my favorite RTS games ever.

There are plenty, but you have to be cautious about how they're controlled on a gamepad. There are some good examples where the controls & UI feels natural in a console environment (like in Two Point games) and there are cases where the controls are absolutely horrendous (like War Mongrels).
