Are you getting a steam controller tomorrow?

Buying one?

Haven't noticed, but any word on how they will be distributed? Will it be like Steam Deck where wishlist and account age matters to stop scalpers? (Think that was the way, but have wishlisted it since the reveal anyway) Or is it a general consensus there will be a ton of stock?

I am not that interested until I actually feel and use one, but a family member is hoping to get 1, so I can test theirs.

Most likely yes. I want a new controller, its either this or i'll wait for the new G7 pro 8k champion edition

I'm just waiting for gaf feedback and I'll pull the trigger if it's awesome and I can use it windows wide easily and not just steam.

Not sure on stick placement for me though

Looks like I'm getting a Steam controller and Topher Topher isn't getting mugged…yet

Fuck.

Maybe. Probably.

I hate this fucking website and how it makes me impulse buy shit.

Wokes and Antiwokes ain't the issue.

You FOMO tempting fucks are the problems.

I am a weak man and this controller calls to me.

Hopefully yes, provided they don't have issues like when I tried to a get a Steam Deck getting stuck in my cart trying to get it to accept a purchase.
  • Nobody else makes trackpads as good as Valve's
  • Trackpads are nice for even being able to play certain PC games on the couch
  • Any time you get stuck on the desktop or a launcher, the trackpads are faster to aim a cursor on the couch.
  • Quick action button has easy shortcuts to alt-tab open apps in case a game launches, but loses focus.
  • Wanna mess with their new gyro
  • Wanna mess with the haptic squeeze for input shortcuts.
Still wish it had lockouts for the triggers to do digital inputs, but soft-pull commands in Steam Input can at least make short trigger presses do actions.

Yes but I'm not going to be a sad fuck refreshing Steam every second. If I hop on at some point tomorrow and it's available and not already backordered I will pick one up.

I probably will but trying to justify the cost and if anything im hoping it will be a real alternative to the mouse and keyboard while being on the couch or bed.

If I remember correctly, Steam does not keep your physical address on file. When I bought the Steam Deck I think it asked for the shipping address at checkout.
A bit more trouble and steps involved buying hardware than simply a game.

Do I need one? No

Will I buy one/attempt to buy one tomorrow? Yes

Do I have anything specific I even have to play to use it with? No

Will I likely boot up like 10 different games for 10 minutes each and then not use it much? Probably

Not worth it if you use multiple launchers ,it actually doesn't work outside steam
Doesn't work on iOS, and Android either. So useless for Cloud Gaming or emulators. It's basically a Stadia or Amazon Luna controller, proprietary to the ecosystem.

Not buying it either, to answer the @OP.

Yep. Got the funds already added to my Steam Wallet and the Steam Controller added to my cart. Hopefully I can get one... been looking forward to this for a while now.

I also ordered a Raspberry Pi PICO2w to make a wireless adapter for my DualSense controller so that I can play games wirelessly with full haptic and adaptive trigger support. B)

What is this raspberry device for? Finally make pc games play like ps5 versions for controller feedback?
