ARMS credits - "Special thanks to Bandai Namco"

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
I don't have ARMS yet, but apparently someone stated that it's on the credits. I wonder what they mean by that? Bamco helped out in coding? Gave fighter ideas?

This is pretty interesting. Also it's pretty hilarious that the current first party fighting games Nintendo is offering right now has Bamco in it.

They helped with Smash 4 also

Namco Bandai could have helped with Netcode?

They helped regarding Mario Kart 8 and Wii Sports Club if I remember correctly.

Bamco probably provided some extra advice, or resources during the games development. Their role in ARMS isn't really the same as their role in Smash or Pokken Tournament, since all the design, programming, and creative direction were done in-house at Nintendo.

Namco Bandai has been sonning Nintendo's multiplayer offerings for quite some time now

You didnt think they actually knew what they were doing did you

I feel like all Bandai Namco does anymore is Anime and Fighting games, and occasionally Anime Fighting games.

I'm glad to see the collaboration though, as it seems to have produced nothing but good results so far. Namco has to be Nintendo's most consistent partner right now; I'm actually surprised that Namco isn't making any real Switch exclusives themselves right now (that Ic can remember), like Koei Tecmo or Ubisoft.

Nintendo uses graphic assistants in a few of their games. That's why monolith soft and Namco Bandai have special thanks nods on a few games.

Namco and monolith Soft also do the same on their games. So do every Japanese developer from Capcom to Platinum to Square. HD art requires additional support across the board.
