Arrgh, I grow impatient for my Kill Bill boxset!

Honestly, rumor had it that it would finally see release this August, we're fast approaching summer and still no word! I've been holding out for so long, the urge to just buy them individually so I can watch them over and over is so strong!

Is anyone else impatient? I had forgotten all about the films up until yesterday, and now my passion for them is back in full force!

Oh, and the first person to come in and say 'Kill Bill sucks!' gets slapped silly.

Dude, the worst part about breaking up with my gf was leaving 'her' Kill Bill DVDs behind. My sole hope was the boxset. I too grow tired of waiting, and at this point, it better be good! Considering it's hard to find either for less than $18 apiece.

I hear yah. I've also refused to purchase Kill Bill. I got burned on both Resevoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. It really sucks that the true fans that are willing to pay for all the added goodies have to wait or pay double by buying both versions.

I forgot about it too.

I remember that POS Miramax exec gloating about how he was going to triple dip into the kill bill movies.

Completely agree. I also have not purchased Kill Bill 1 in hopes of waiting out the boxset but it's been forever with no news. Something better happen this summer.

I read somewhere, I can't remember where, so I can't verify this, that the Weinsteins took Kill Bill with them when they left Miramax, and their first release (theatrically, I assume) would be the 4 hour NC-17 director's cut of Kill Bill. Again, I don't remember where I read it (I'm pretty sure it was Entertainment Weekly, but uh, yeah, grain of salt), so I can't verify that. Makes sense, though.

I bought both DVDs for like $15 each, watched them quite a bit, I got my $15 worth.

I'm getting sick of waiting for Kill Bill on UMD to drop in price...$25 is ridiculous. Anyone know any place where I could get it online for cheaper?

That's the only thing that makes it easier for me to wait. I didn't see the movies in the theatre mainly because I didn't think they were the type of movie I would want to see in the theatre, and also because I knew about them being split up. However, I watched the hell out of the DVDs. If I had only seen the movies once or twice, I'd have had to buy them by now.

Now I'm hoping that the boxset has the movies extended, but kept seperate. I like the way that the movies take on two different genres and styles with the same characters, and I hope it's not all mishmashed together ala a Memento deal with flashbacks etc.

Also, the soundtracks to these movies are great. I highly recommend them if you are wanting to wait for the boxset/re-release and are jonesin for the movies.

The DVDs are always expensive when I see them too, although that's becoming pretty common for DVDs after their first week in release.

Bestbuy 2 packs have Kill Bill vol 1 and 2 for 20 bucks, and Target also has this 2 pack set. Some other places might too. I would have gotten it when they had all sets for 15 bucks. But i was after Dawn of the Dead Shaun of the dead.

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
The Digital Bits is saying today that they've learned the Kill Bill special editions are delayed until later in the year.

I was thinking the exact same thing last night while in bed, I want Kill Bill box NOW! I salivate at the seperate DVDs every time I see them at a store... must resist!

Why bother buying DVD's. Just wait for HD-DVD or whatever is next. Its like buying a VHS at this point

Good idea. I'm not buying any more DVDs until they can project Uma into my mind.

I'm guessing that by "box set" you guys are meaning something other than simply a box containing both Kill Bill DVDs. I got my friend to buy me them for my birthday, so I'm all good :)
