Oh boy.

On a serious note; the Ass Creed Shadows team have optimized the game very well. So I expect a 40fps mode to get the most out of the system.

And there was me saying I'll wait 2 years for an upgraded version on the PS6. Mf'ers are gonna play a massively downgraded version on Switch? 60fps is the bare minimum I consider for this franchise. A 40fps mode won't cut it

I was very surprised the Direct had Outlaws but no Assassin's Creed.

A fair number of 2025 third party games still need to be announced (RDR2, BG3 and MGS Delta).

I used to say that about all my games that I was stuck in a mental loop at 60 FPS, but if the game has good frame pacing and you can get 40 FPS out of a handheld mode that's fine. It's really hard to tell the difference hopefully if it's docked, he'll get 60 FPS

Damn. It runs that well? I dont think Ill get this anytime soon after Rise of Ronin but good to hear it runs that nicely on a 4090.

Run extremely well on my 9070 XT so I'd imagine a 4090 wouldn't break a sweat.

Yes with frame generation I get native 4k and 90-100 fps with raytracing and settings at ultra. It's beautiful

Frame gen was really good in this game. I was using TAA and was in the 80-90s playing quality upscaling.

Also decided to grab rise of the ronin again on PC instead of getting shadows and I'm having a blast. More than scratches the itch.

I'll grab shadows when it's $20 or less via Steam.

Jesus Christ, go away.

This is how it's going to be every time a Switch 2 logo appears on anything? You don't know how these games are going to look, how they are going to perform.

How about you confirm that you aren't getting broccoli before you shit up these forums about the "steak" dinners that you have lined up.

Yeah it's great. Team Ninja always delivers combat that is fun enough to carry the rest of their shortcomings.

ACS is the first game I've played with frame gen and it was quite transformative. Excellent implementation.

This will be one of many I reckon. I think Assassin's Creed Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla and Mirage to be ported over as well in the future. There might even be ports of Unity and Syndicate.

Ubisoft was always known to port everything to every possible system. so this isn't surprising.

they were the biggest AAA publisher on Stadia even. Rainbow Six had a special feature on Stadia where you could see your teammates POV and stuff.
they ported everything they technically could to the Wii back in the day, even ported stuff like Splinter Cell and Watch Dogs to the Wii U, and of course AC3 and 4.

wherever there's a system that they can relatively easily port stuff to, you can basically bet they will port it to that system.

What the fuck. This may be the single most disproportionate response I have ever seen on NeoGAF, and that's really saying something, lol.

All he did was post an excerpt from an article listing some games that might be coming to the Switch 2. You're welcome to think that they're going to look or run like shit, but why not just say that (like many, many other posters have). Why go on a tirade? Unhinged behavior, tbh.

40fps is doable but 30 is unacceptable. I'm assuming the 120hz support on switch is to mainly allow 40fps to work?

nintendo should probably not allow these ports, their face-off videos will not be pretty, and will set the narrative for the device as third party platform early on.
let them at least wait for the mysteriously missing dlss support.

Actually i'm ok with downgraded graphics. If i want to play the game in it's fully glory i play it on the PC.
Thats not what the Switch is for.

For myself, none of these games are what Switch is for. Give me the first party games and the third parties that make game specifically for Switch. Cyberpunk and Assassin's Creed? Nah.
