I played Bubble Bobble (new mode) at TGS.
It's pretty disappointing really - the top and bottom screens together show half of the level, but it scrolls left and right too which means you can't see everything on screen at once. It wouldn't be so bad if the level layout was the same as the original version, but it's not. So I probably won't end up getting this, even though Bubble Bobble is one of my favourite series of all time.

I still remember buying Bubble Bobble and Solomon's Key for C64 in the same week, back in the October of 1987. Needless to say, I'll buy a DS rev, too - unless it's a complete stinker.

That's pretty disappointing... I thought they would put the two screens to good use by avoiding scrolling left and right... But again, this is Taito, which I have come to expect disappointment over the years...

But hey, there is always the classic version in the game that you can choose to play.

hmm...but does the classic version still have two player wireless, single cart?

If so, sold.

... because it's been at least a few weeks since the last PPK game...
To be fair PP Kun Pocket and PP Koushien are totally different. As the resident PowerPro freak, you should know better Charlie. :P

Plus PPKP8 is online! :)

Dare Demo Asobi Taizen, the next DS chart-topper? I can really see this catching on with the Brain Training crowd.

Why on earth would they make the levels scroll from left to right? It makes no sense. The DS was perfectly suited for Bubble Bobble, just follow Bomerman's lead and it would have been perfect. The mind really does boggle.

Still, I might pick it up if it offers single cart play of the original and not the neutered 10 level demo that the GBA version got.
