I didn't even watch the damn show until May, when thanks to the different time zones, I was able to watch ATHF in LA during the early evening. I fell in love with the show and bought both volumes on DVD.

After reviewing both volumes extensively, I think the lack of Carl and Mooninites interaction somewhat hurts the second volume, but it just isn't as funny or as irreverent as the first volume.

That said, Vol. 2 ends on a strong note and I noticed that a lot of my favorite episodes from cable, such as the Broodwich are after Vol. 2 apparently.

Is there a reason for this apparent lull in humor?

As you said, it's the lack of Mooninites that hurts Vol. 2. I only have Vol. 1 myself. I'm waiting for 2 to go down in price.

I agree that Volume 1 was better than the second. Volume 2 made up for it some by including Universal Remonster which is one of my favorite episodes.

Emory: Isn't that the Starga—

Oglethorpe: NO! It is the FARGATE! It is not some other kind of gate from a movie or TV show that I've never seen! Notice that it has a wheelchair and a pink mohawk? We're not getting sued!

Emory: But it—

Oglethorpe: No, it is a Fargate! From the makers of Thindependence Day!

I'll just be glad when Volume 3 releases so I can see Broodwich again.

Yeah, Universal Remonster, Super Birthday Snake, Super Trivia and Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future are all too good not to own. The DVD just doesn't seem as consistent with the humor as Vol. 1, though.

EDIT: I think my favorite part of Universal Remonster is when Frylock is like, "What the hell, are those chains?" And then the chains fly into Meatwad's room and he cries, "NO, NOT THE CHAINS!"

15 episodes at 15 minutes each for $30 seems hard to stomach. :(

I want them badly though

Well if you search around amazon's used and new section you can get it for 20$ or less. I personally just tape them, now that ATHF is off the daily lineup I'm glad I did so I get an unlimited ATHF fix. :D

lmao! My favorite scene from that ep was the ending, that had to be one of the funniest Frylock moments ever.

Frylock: "I've finally went out and invested in a new HDTV for us."

Meatwad: "...but Frylock ah thought you said tv was bad?"

Frylock: "Oh it is..........................but we fuckin' need it!" :lol

They had to mix things up, they went through the ATHF cycle of episodes 2 1/2 times, now they are blessing Sealab fans with the same daily service. I'm a fan of both shows so it's all good. :)

Vol 1 has more episodes I love, but Vol 2 also has the great Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future and Universal Remonster....

Vol 3 will rock the house though, with Broodwich, The Last One(featuring all the previous villains) and Frat Aliens. All great stuff.

Vol 2 also had the cool Space Ghost short which was just WEIRD to watch after the actual ATHF show came out:p

I like Vol 2 a little bit more, but both are amazing..

vol 1 is more consistent, but vol 2 is much weirder and they take more risks, which I like..

plus, the space ghost episode is pure gold..

the more karl the better is my belief.

I felt the same wat when I borrowed my friends DVDs. Sir Loin still kicked ass though.

30 bucks? Are you Canadian? Its pretty much $19.99 everywhere around here.
