It's a while to wait i know so i'm sure some other things will occur before then.

Atoms for Peace .. members of staff
Thom Yorke - Vocals Keyboards Programming and Guitars
Nigel Godrich - Production & Programming
Joey Waronker - Drums
Mauro Refosco - Percussion
Flea - Bass

We formed to learn to play The Eraser record, if you don't know that, and discovered a really good energy doing that.. and it fell into this record.

I'm still reeling from being on tour for much of the year but we are planning to get together and play etc next year !
We're figuring all that out right now.

Atoms is a ongoing and open ended project, where it leads i know not for certain .... which is what is nice about it.

-Thom

HYPE.

Hopefully Tom will get all the beebs and bleebs out of his system so Radiohead can start making good music again.

The real news is that Yorke actually typed like a normally functioning human being for once.

Not too hyped, material released so far has been pretty middling. Good, but not great. I'll keep an eye on this though.

OKC is 15 years old now. Just give it up man.

I for one, welcomed Radiohead's change in sound since Kid A(their best one by far imo), but In Rainbows was rather ho hum and TKOL had a good first half and a pretty forgettable second one. Not to mention that I got sick of their '90s material as a whole. I don't like Radiohead nearly as much as I used to.

I don't want another OKC, I just miss Greenwood's guitar work. Also Yorke should start singing again, his mumbling is getting old.

Eh, their three previous albums had plenty of the former, although it was admittedly much more restrained on TKOL compared to their other ones.

Yorke just can't sing like he used to, watched them live this year and he maybe hit the right notes like half of the time. Still was a great show but eh.

Good catch. Thanks.

I can agree with this. Judging by some of the new songs they introduced I thought it sounded promising

Wow....This new one: Cut a Hole (Volume Warning), which I literally just found right now, sounds similar to Majoras Mask's Giant Theme.

EDIT: Oh this is like months old apparently. lol

Kid a was great, in rainbows is what you wanted and it was awesome. But then he went into boring shit mode again with king of limbs

Despite my unabashed feelings for the singles, I'm loving this album. The other tracks are so good. Anti-KoLs fans am cry.

In other news, Thom Yorke and Nigel God-tier did an AMA on reddit. Hilarity ensued.

Q: Thom, why did you steal the H from Jonny's name?
A: yes but he hasn't spotted it's gone yet.

Q: How do you feel about the amok leak? And music piracy in general
A: oh did it? how nice.

Q: Since many people would consider Atoms For Peace a supergroup, what would you say is your favorite (or most influential) supergroup?
A: The Beatles.. N

Q: I'd love to know how you got involved with Stanley Donwood, and what it's like having someone be such a consistent part of your image over the years?
A: I met him first day at art college and he had a better hat and suit on than me. That pissed me off. So i figured i'd either end up really not liking this person at all, or working with him for the rest of my life.

Q:My question for Thom: Will there be a step by step instructional video for the Lotus Flower dance? Or possibly a fitness DVD based on the moves?
and Nigel: Any quick advice for someone trying to make it as a music producer?

A: Quick advice.. Don't expect it to be easy... do it for fun and love. If you're good you will succeed. If you arent you'll have fun at least! N

Stream won't load for me. No big deal waiting a week, but damn am I bored at work.

I am in love with this album, apart from maybe the last song. It's hard to pick a favourite right now, though I'm liking JJ&E less than expected probably because I listened to the live version so much.

Downloaded it earlier (btw, Google Play is much better than iTunes, 320kbps and all!), and really loving it. Super atmospheric and moody, but with a fast paced feel. Feels like Drive OST mixed with King of Limbs.
