Did something change with the website on restrictions on images for avatar use?

I've tried from desktop and mobile. It seems to hate anything that isn't .jpg format but just now I definitely have a .jpg and won't accept it.

Wont take jpegs, pngs, and only takes very specific jpgs.

Is this something EviLore needs to fix?

is this maybe related to the image upload error that has been an issue for a while now?

because I think that one wasn't completely fixed yet either.

some images I tried uploading just a few days ago didn't work. and there was no apparent reason or pattern behind which worked and which didn't.
