German police say several people have been injured in an axe attack at Duesseldorf's main train station.

A spokesman for federal police says two suspected attackers were arrested after the attack that took place at about 9 p.m. Thursday.

Police spokesman Rainer Kerstiens told The Associated Press that more suspected attackers are believed to be on the run.

Kerstiens says the number of people injured was around five. He was unable to say how serious their injuries were.

Still not clear how many attackers were involved, if is/are on the run or the total amount of injures. As usual the information is chaotic.

Unrelated incident. Maybe there are 2 more people on the run at the moment the police is not sure. One of the attackers jumped from a bridge on a street but was injured.

There are 7 victims, two were attacked inside a train and the other five at the station's platform, three are seriously wounded

The single author (a Yugoslav with a mental disorder) was arrested after he jumped from the railway bridge, shortly after attacking the victims. He is in serious condition too.
