News about this

The organizers of HINODE JAPAN 2025 have revealed details of the upcoming Japanese culture festival in Moscow. This year, the main annual event for connoisseurs of Japan will be held on October 18-19 at the Timiryazev Center — guests are promised a unique program where traditions and modernity will be united on one site .

One of the key events will be the arrival of real stars of Japanese sumo to Russia — the first in the last 60 years. Daiki Toyonoshima and Masahiro Daikiho are former professional wrestlers with awards and international fame. At the festival, guests will be able to see master classes, talk to wrestlers, learn the secrets of the ancient Japanese martial art and get autographs.

The musical and entertainment part of the festival will be headed by the famous Japanese singer and voice actress Aya Hirano , known for her roles in the anime " The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya ", " Death Note " and " Fairy Tail ". She will perform a concert, answer questions from fans and hold an autograph session.

Also taking to the stage will be instant face-changing artist Enishi , known for his interactive shows, and artist Yasunori Kimata , who combines classic Japanese ink painting with modern street style
What those people forget in Russia?

dang, Hirano was my fave vocalist waifu circa 2008 - 2010
her voice is trembling my brain, her song also memorable
I'm still listening to her song these days

Okay, I'll be the first one to say that any artist or performer who doesn't treat russia like a terrorist country should be publicly shamed for their actions. They don't deserve to host anything as long as they're actively destroying their neighboring country.

I don't understand why those famous people are going to terrorist country?
It's shame for them forever

Hirano hasn't gotten much work in like over a decade, she is pretty washed up. Not surprised she would go to Russia to get some money.
I also wouldn't say she is that famous. She was well known for her roles in Lucky Star and Haruhi, but that was 10+ years ago and she isn't very liked any more because of some stuff she did.

I agree, but then you have j-pop idols wearing Nazi uniforms since it's cute...and also because Japan on purpose suppressed all education about the WW2 to make people forget they killed tens of millions of Chinese. It's a country with very little modern historical awareness. It's all geishas, shogun and samurai shit, then one big blank, then walkman and pachinko parlors.
