So, my three weeks vacation is just about over, with my classes starting up again on Monday. This semester looks to be a good one, each day I go from 10:30-12:30 (or 1 on Tuesday/Thursday) with a three hour film class every monday night (watch movies, 3 credits, whoo) and two hours of bowling each week. Can you say "skiing Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of every week" ? I've got a sweet schedule for the 16 credits
And while I'm eager to leave the rainy San Francisco bay area--seriously, what is this crap? I haven't seen this since that El Nino when I was in sixth grade--for some skiing in the mountains of Utah, I'm not eager to make the drive. I-80 through the Sierra mountains and throughout Nevada is supposedly in shit condition right now. On the way out, the roads were clear as could be, and I had the cruise set to 84 the whole way. A friend of mine made a similar drive just a couple days ago, and what took me 11 hours to drive a couple weeks ago took him around 17 hours. Not only that, but the backroads I usually take to get around the congested SLC area will likely be unplowed and crappy, so I'll have to take the long way. I'm just hoping they aren't requiring chains on 4x4's, because that would mean the weather's really bad, and I'll have to shell out some extra cash
Anyone else have to travel a long way to get back to school or wherever?
