Back to the Matrix

In the original Matrix, Cipher decides the real world is pretty shitty and makes a deal to go back into the Matrix. In doing so, he can design his own life without remembering that he did so, or that it's all a simulation (and he chooses to be an important actor, if I remember correctly). Let's say you're in a similar position, the reason for which doesn't matter. How would you choose your perfect life? It has to be based on real world rules and physics -- no flying.

I don't know why you would settle for ordinary and obeying the laws of physics in a simulation when the alternative is crazy ass bullet time and kung fu moves.

The people in the Matrix don't know that, only the ones who know the truth do. That would turn into a "if you could have any power" thread, and it's more about "if you could have any life you want, what would you choose?".

I'd be the child of a rich businessman who retired early to raise his children.

I'd end up living off of my parents Trust Fund and partying every fucking night.

That's what I wish my life was right now :(

Preeeeety sure the agents were just gonna kill him. Just sayin'.
I'm not saying you are Cipher or that you're in his situation or that you're even in the fictional world of The Matrix. I'm just using his situation as an example to put yourself in when asked the question "We can build you the perfect life, what do you want?".

I'd like to come back with an infinite-sign on my bank-account, my current GF as my GF and Sofia Vergara or Christina Hendricks (or both) as my cleaninglady who also pop into the action with me and my GF from time to time.

Infinite cash and a hot new body. I'd live in a mansion filled with male strippers and gorge myself on delicious candies all day. Oh and Elijah Wood would love me as much as I love him.

Edit: Plus Zone of the Enders 3 would be made.

I always thought it was strange that he didnt want to remember anything and for his mind to be replaced with someone totally different, surely thats the same as dying?

nice.

Questions like this can only serve to make us realise how many things we hate about our lives, and as a result - screw you for asking me.

After the Reloaded and Revolutions... I am surprised there would still be some people happy to see another Matrix sequel.

I would love to see the Matrix-franchise getting redeemed. After the first movie, everything Matrix-related was a fuckwad (except Animatrix). The games were shite, the MMO was shite, the sequels were shite and meh.
The Wachowski's said they were planning a fourth film which would be based on events that players created in the Matrix MMO. I'd love them to put their foot down and say "playtime is over, we're gonna do this right, we're gonna return the Matrix to it's former glory." and after they do this, they just walk away. Just leave it alone.

Well it seems like the answer to all of life's problems is money and women :lol Though I'm sure you didn't need this thread to tell you that.

Well, technically, you'll only need money. Women will come flocking to money like metal to a magnet. You'll need beer and rib-eye-steaks too, so make sure you let the flocking women know to bring some with them.

I would have money but none of the pressures or infamy associated with the super rich in our society. I would be respected but not revered. I would be more attractive but not a man-God.

If you were just given things you would become bored with them in no time at all. The appreciation comes form earning them. Like if you had the ability to just fuck any woman you wanted just by looking at her you would be so sick of women in no time at all. Then when you're sick of women what do you do? The ability to get them yourself is what makes it interesting and rewarding. I would choose to have more money but by some means that I had to do something for it.

And anyone that has been rich their whole life is more often than not an out of touch asshole who I can't stand so I'd never want that to be me or my kids. You have to earn what you have.

We all know that when Cipher came back he was Ronald Reagan right?

The agent calls him Mr. Reagan, he wants to be famous (president, anyone?), and he wants to remember nothing (Reagan had Alzheimer's).

Eh, bad joke. Sorry.

This man is right.

I agree with this. I'd try and think of the perfect job for me that would give me a more than comfortable amount of money. I also wouldn't want a woman forced on me. Well, maybe for a bit of sexy time. But any life partnership I'd want to happen 100% naturally.
