BAFTAS controversy...

Painfully ignorant.
You even had time to look into the condition but their still going to lean into it.

Absolutely embarrassing.

TS is one of the most misunderstood illnesses. Even people who understand the motor and vocal tics (thanks to Google) have a hard time understanding the Coprolalia part (which is a rare symptom of Tourette). ESPECIALLY when a slur is said.

However, the BAFTAS bleeped out the homophobic slurs he ticced but left in the N-word.

I'm just glad he didn't exhibit any offensive Copropraxia tics like slapping someone on the butt or grabbing their crotch.

Try calling anyone non white or Jewish a slur and see how that works out for you.
No need to add the "non-white or jewish" part, insult ANYONE and you might expect a negative response. But "anti-white" slurs have mostly fallen away, mostly because, IMHO, white folks don't perpetuate the slur amongst themselves to keep it relevant. Some black guy walking up to me and calling me a "cracker" isn't gonna hurt my soul, but it DOES tell me to get ready to fight (or run) just as if he called me a motherfucker, a cocksucker, son of a bitch, or whatever other non-ethnic slur, heck, even the n-word itself. So really the insult just demonstrates intent, it applies across the board. So I don't really see why the "n-word" should get special treatment based in some historical context since all these words originally had an extreme derogatory origin.

Really, calling a white person a "nazi" SHOULD be regarded the exact same way, as that is a MUCH fresher historical 'slur' than the (other) n-word and I wouldn't mind some folks catching a punch to the face for casually slinging "nazi" at someone else, a skinhead with swastika tattoos possibly excepted.

I get that the implication of a white person using the "n-word" is that they are racist and thus would discriminate against ALL black people, not just the one they yelled it at, and removing that person from a position of authority might prevent silent racist/discriminatory acts. But I'm not really sure that is something we should be doing as its just as discriminatory and based on stereotypes (however you try to justify it).

Cracker is not even considered offensive by most even if it is basically the white N word.

The ex ufc middleweight champion called another dude cracker multiple times because he was african but white, so not a real african, on national tv.

Nobody gave a fuck but imagine if the white dude said the n word...

Normalized racism against whites is the new black (pun intended)

I'm wondering if it's more known for different generations or in different country's.
I've never met anyone with it but I was well aware of it from a young age. In fact i think we were shown an awareness video of it in school.
It's just one of those things I thought most people in civilized society knew about. As well known as people being blind of deaf.

But yea. The BBC have absolutely played a hand in this. Blatant shit stirring.

The whole thing reeks of privileged hollywood folk not having a grasp on basic reality again.

I might be wrong, but I think most celebs are smarter than his and just grifting for PR pts. It's hard to believe people can be this stupid even if they are a pampered millionaire.

But if you watch the Foxx and Snoop video I posted pages back, Foxx is a big race guy. And that video was 10 years ago before all his modern day DEI and BLM and woke stuff was even around.

Watch the whole video. He probably thinks about race analyzing every nuance every hour of the day.

Yes, I would physically confront and restrain someone who was racially abusing my girlfriend, no matter their condition.

You can't enable or excuse criminal behaviour because the perpetrator has a 'disability'.

Would you allow or excuse predators that have their way with people because they are disabled and mentally ill? It's not their fault right? They can't control their impulses or behaviour right?
See where this type of thinking leads..?

Yet, I'm the pathetic one with low intelligence? I'm the one who should be ashamed for defending innocent people?
You are gonna "physically confront and restrain someone" someone with TS for having TS around you?
Mad Max Thats GIF

When you are big and strong bro you have to protect those that aren't not attack them.
