Baldur's Gate 3's latest update, Forging the Arcane, brings an explorable new region known as Grymforge, along with a new playable Sorcerer class and new spells, improvements to melee and ranged combat, a graphical overhaul, and more.

Grymforge is an ancient Sharran fortress accessible through the Underdark, where rivers of lava and fire illuminate its darkened halls and chambers. Grymforge features new questlines, cinematics, complex combat encounters, and characters.

Yep here goes another 100 hours of my life....

Edited to add: If you can max this game out at 4k good lord does it look amazing now. Looks like a completely different game.

So glad Larian uploads their videos in 1440p. Tired of these game companies pushing the limits of imagery in their games then uploads shit at 1080p. I mean, aside from my Switch and handheld SNES, I haven't even laid eyes on a 1080p or lesser screen since about 2015.

Anywho, I keep forgetting that this game has been in early access for a year already. Even given the pandemic, development seems to be moving pretty slowly. I think they said they were aiming for two years of early access? To date they've only released the first act, 1/5 of the world map, one class which was clearly very unfinished, and now this. I get the horrible feeling this thing might not be ready until late 2023, early 2024 at this rate.
