Didn't know about this one yet. Very nice artstyle which reminds me of the Dark Eye (the Edgar Ellen Poe PC game) and Magic and Mayhem, and the combat system looks interesting. Just not sure if I want to dip EA.

5 patches since 1.0 launched already, lol. UI scaling just added though which is great

I might wait a bit more, see if its controller support goes out of beta as it currently says on the option.

I did start it up to see how it is in the intro bits and dang, it's great stuff. So atmospheric and a bit of Diablo vibes.

I am not sure if I'd characterize it as a beat 'em up though, combat is definitely mostly Parasite Eve-esque, unless more happens later.

The game starts out really challenging. Understanding the underlying systems will determine how you feel about the combat.

I love the exploration, atmosphere, the no hand-holding, and the menus. Feels like an old school crpg in many ways.

Finished it. There's a lot to like here, but a lot of annoyances too. Your experience will largely depend on how much patience you have for old skool bullshit design choices nowadays.
