I think so. I think everyone should see it. I actually cried during it, and I'm the manliest man alive (kekeke ~.~). Anyone else see it and agree? Anyone know if there's a 1080p version of this yet?

I enjoyed the movie.

I watched it during Gov. School, which is kind of like a summer camp, college-like experience for high schoolers. They showed the movie to the entire class, and the whole auditorium erupted in laughter at the monkey, even prompting t-shirts to commemerate the event.

it is certainly not the most important film i have ever seen, but beautiful nontheless. the way it weaves all these seperate cultural threads into a cohesive narrative is impressive.

Have yet to see Baraka but I love Koyaanisqatsi.

First Time I was it for the first 15 minutes I was like Homer Simpson. BORING!

By the end I thought it was beautiful/disturbing statement on mankind. I have heard similar things about Baraka since Ron Fricke was involved with both.

This collage of cultural and environmental imagery from around the world flows from one act of life to another. It communicates the idea of "living synergy": how the seemingly chaotic actions of life around the world feed into one another and affect one another and have dire consequences in places far and near. The documentary almost makes the world we live in look like a living creature in its own right. I think its a nod at the Gaia Theory myself.

Awesome, awesome flick. I've had it in my collection for a long time now. I was wondering if anyone else ever saw it. This thread answered my question, which is a good thing because it is a delightful work of art.

Koyaanisqatsi was better then Baraka IMO.

Although I watched the former right after watching Equus, so getting my mind off of horse****ing probably added to its quality.

It's not the most important ever(if there is such a thing), but it's one of the best for sure. It was on INHD just last night.
