From what I know is that famiboards is a cut off from era due to a big argument of some kind due to era being era and so people left and made their own Nintendo focused site. Issue is that there's a lot of crossover people from era so it's tainted with some weirdos from there. It's better than era but still not great.

The forum owner of era hates the site and bans anyone promoting it funnily enough. Salty most likely.
