So that you can tell what he is. If it followed what his suit looks like in the movie he'd be black from head to toe. It's not like the GBA could show the detail necessary to do so.

Notice that you can tell that he has arms, legs, and a waist? If he had the black suit there would be no way of differentiating the different parts of his body.
