Batman: Dying is Easy - Fan film.

Nice work.

Off topic, but it always seems to me that fan films are usually shot at a higher framerate. Is it difficult to shoot at a lower framerate, which gives movies/shows that "cinematic" feel? I'm really ignorant on this but it's always something I noticed/wondered. Maybe it's not framerate, but it's the only way I can describe fan films looking slightly "off". I didn't notice it that much during this fan film though.

This could pass as a CW production and I probably wouldn't bat an eye (I mean this as a compliment, I know a lot of CW stuff is terrible).

Bat In The Sun always have high production values for fan made films.

...although they’re barely ‘fan made’ Schoenke (sp?) is an industry guy with a lot of connections and access to good amounts of cash.

Quite how WB haven’t shut them down, I don’t know. He must know people 😊

The acting and dialogue can be a little cheesy, and that bat symbol is godawful, but god bless ‘em for turning out stuff of a pretty decent quality.

long story short, 24 fps is considered standard cinematic frame rate because that’s what we’re all used to (bottom line..because money). They can be shot at a higher rate, but most theatrical movies will be projected at 24 fps.

Holy shit, Gordon is played by Rico from Starship Troopers.

I feel old now.

Also this Batman looks fucking wild, wow. First battle was awesome, too!

That was really impressive visually.

Still, I had to check out about five to ten mins before it ended. So much exposition and characters reminding each other of who they are and where they stand. Really drags the pace to a crawl.
Actors are really hamming it up as well.

I wonder if they could find a way to convey Batman getting between settings, without needing those Batmobile shots. They look awful and drag the otherwise professional looking cinematography and sets way down.

All in all, impressive work, but I have a lot of critiques.
