Although I agree, it's more fun to laugh at that image, I'll play devil's advocate:

A) He's plugging the phone into his suit because it was probably his suit that recorded the ambient sound data. The cord is a data cable connecting the data recording device in his suit to the modem in the phone.

B) Because he's sending audio files, he wants Alfred to use the Mac which probably has superior audio software on it.

C) He's not an elitist Apple fanboy or he would not have called it "the Macintosh".

D) That comic was probably made on a Mac.
