I can't imagine missing something like Fury Road in the theatre. I actually feel bad for anyone whose first experience with it was on a small screen.

This could be different, though. I find, for me, it depends on the movie, though.

Blood Diamond is a thinly-veiled buddy-cop thriller that also happens to be set in Africa. This is a war drama about the horrors of being a child soldier indoctrinated by a charismatic father figure. So, not really.

Just reading the title made me think of MGSV, and then watching the trailer...wow. Looks great, will watch on Netflix for sure.

On this point, just playing the parts with the child soldiers made me really uncomfortable. This movie is much closer to the real deal, so I imagine my discomfort will be magnified.
