Just spent 3 days down there for a conference - do you people roll up the streets at night or what? I get out of the Mayenbury Center at 6 pm and there's nobody

NOBODY

on the streets at all. No pedestrians. No cars driving around. No noise coming from the apartment buildings I passed on the way back to the hotel. Nothing.

If a pack of zombies had come shuffling around a corner, I would not have been shocked one iota. It was like a movie set. Creepy as hell.

Ahhh... Bellevue. Everyone was probably in Seattle or out on their expensive yacht.

I know exactly what you mean. I live in a town like that, but it's small... I'll walk around and the only thing around are crows. They'll just sit there crowin' and I'll think, "ghost town."

Bellevue is a ghost town, even on Friday nights it is hardly anything going on down there, outside of Rockbottom and the movie theatre.

Really everyone is in Seattle, or you should have gotten in contact with Keith and I!! bastard!!

We did go to the Rockbottom for a private party, but even that shut down at 10:30pm! I mean what the hell man

It is a great date town... I used to take chickies to all sorts of great places... but it is sad when Kirkland is the more exciting spot.

Redmond is worse. Everything (except the movie theatre) is dead by 8 PM.

Anyways, where do you guys suggest taking a date out here in Redmond/Bellevue/Kirkland/Seattle?

Actually, I was accosted by a mormon at a bus stop last week. I was terrified. And I live like a mile from a Scientology center.

Trust me after listening to presentations on the [NDA] power of [NDA] [NDA] [NDA] for 8 straight hours, two days straight...I would not have been good company. :|

Next time though, I promise.

Bellevue's great because it's like a futuristic robot city. There's only been one murder in seven years.

I was born in Bellevue too.

What exactly is in Bellevue except for hotels that tourists stay in, restaurants that no one eats at, silly museums that no one visits, and stores no one shops at???

On a side note. Some co-workers and I went to Racha in Woodinville for lunch today. Best. Thai Food. Ever. Thought I'd let my fellow eastsiders know.

If you're down in lower Queen Anne, Phuket has my favorite Thai food in Seattle.

Barbacoa up on Queen Anne Hill has killer brisket if you're in the mood for some neo Tex-Mex. The Five Spot, also on Queen Anne Hill (I live up there, if you couldn't tell) is currently Cuban themed, I recommend getting the Arepa(Cuban “grilled cheese” corn sandwiches) appetizers and the Masas de Puerco Fritas (pork) as a main course.

Next time you find yourself stuck in Bellevue, you can take a bus up Bellevue way to Kirkland. There's a bit of nightlife there. A bit. Otherwise, you need to head across the bridge to Seattle. Or head down to Renton and hit Fry's. :lol

Evenball

Jack Flack always escapes!
I lived 2 blocks away from the center for 5 years, I enjoyed it though, nice and quiet. I still work at the Compusa there (in fact, I just got home). We're having ANOTHER stupid midnight madness sale. Every time we do that the store is dead after 10 no matter what is on sale. Bellevue is full of nothing but private sector business people who stick to their schedules and work, sleep, work....etc. Those kind of towns will NEVER have a night life.

Well, 180solutions and Jango are there and right next to each other if you feel the need to carbomb something.

I go to school in bellevue... Its kinda hard to believe that all that traffic during the day goes totally away at night. I guess that would be kinda freaky.
