Best 2D games for Xbox?

Street Fighter 3: Third Strike (in the anniversary collection) is the greatest fighting game ever made. By miles. Live play's nothing to scoff at, either.

Other than that, Finalburn and Mamedox.

QFT. Of course 3rd Strike is fighting perfection, but I'll always be amazed at how Capcom avoiding fucking up the online play. Sure, it's not perfect, but it's close enough. . especially after the CVS2/AutoModellista/LineOfContact drama.

And there's always Mega Man Anniversary and Sonic Mega Collection+.

So 3rd Strike plays well online?

I own it, but I've never taken the xbox online. I guess maybe when I finally invest in an online subscription (when I get a 360) I'll try it out.

I never did like Guilty Gear. Tried to like it, but couldn't.

Weird this topic came up, I just put in 3rd Strike for the first time in about 3 months.

Lost to Sean, go figure.

Well, whenever I play against Sean, I don't really fight him.

I sit there and parry everything.

A surprise choke attack here or tornado kick there can do some damage.

Yet, the reason I lost (besides the extreme rust factor) is that I absolutely suck using a joystick on the Player 1 side and regardless of what slot I plug the joystick into, I always start on the Player 1 side.

In arcades I always played on the 2P side, in old console versions the controller plugged into port 2 would always start on 2P side.

So as I'm a hit away from finishing Sean, I try to dragon punch and it doesn't come out, and I was felled.

Third Strike, Megaman Anniversary, Sonic Collection, Metal Slug 3, Kof 2002/2003, and Guilty Gear XX #R.

Also if you're feeling frisky, Capcom Classics Collection and Metal Sug 4/5.
