Finally got my iPod back from Apple's service center, and now I want to protect that little motherfucker as best I can. I have the 20GB clickwheel version, and I'd like access to all the functions on it, and to be able to view the screen with the case on. I have the standard black (expensive as shit) case which affords me none of that. In fact, I've dropped it a few times while taking it out/putting it back into the damned case alone... which is what I want to avoid.

Any recommendations? I'm leaning heavily towards the iSkin.

Ok here's what you do.

Put a Trendygeek iShield film over the back\sides\bottom and even the screen

Get a Lajo skin, much better and cheaper than iSkins

I also have a Contour Showcase for use on my belt with wheel access and Matias iPod armor for "rough" territory.

My Pod has not been naked since I took it out of the box, even while charging in the dock, the iShield is protecting it. It's spotless.

i got one of the new Iskins a couple months ago when i got my 4G Ipod. So far, its fantastic for me. Doesn't take away from the Ipod's design like some other cases do, and works great. Also, the screen protector that comes with it is really nice too. I would definatley recommend it, though it can be a little pricey (i think i paid like $40 for mine) but when you think about how much the Ipod itself costs, its well worth it IMO. The only real downside is that the belt clip that ocomes with it is a flimsy piece of crap, but its easily removable so no big deal.

That's what I use, no complaint so far. The bungie saved my ipod a few times when it fell out of my pocket/off my belt.
