Best online psp titles?

I got a wireless router and had fun getting my ass handed to me in Mario Kart DS recently. Is there anything worthwhile for online play for PSP? The only thing I can remember was Twisted Metal. Also, is there anything soon to come out that looks good for online? Feild Commander comes to mind, but that's about it.

Awesome! I never even checked, I just assumed it was only for uploading scores or something.

This is too good, I've been meaning to race a mate and we were checking out xlink etc but now we don't need to!

SOCOM is the only good online PSP game and it shows... since it's the only one you will actually find people online to play with you.

Nope. It's 6 Players for both online (infra.) and offline (ad hoc) multiplayer. It also has a "Live Aware"-like feature which allows u to check friends coming online and automatically puts your best times on the internet leaderboard. Host can check on and off game modifiers like Collision detection and Catch Up. Also, time attacks sees you playing against the actual ghost of the best time on the internet leaderboards. Basically, it's Xbox Live in your pocket minus the voice chat. Very awesome.

Yep. Looks like the best OR2 package you may want.

It's also worth to point out that the game has a shitload of content: OR2 CtC + OR2SP + original and remixed music tracks, new game modes and more.

(I'm not a Sega PR btw :D)

Wow, thats fucking insane for a handheld. Thx, for the info :D :D !!!

I'll add my vote for SOCOM. I've been playing it a lot lately, and it's a blast, especially with the microphone. Twisted Metal was fun for awhile, but not my type of game long term. Others love it though, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. :)

Upcoming, I can't wait to play Untold Legends online. I really enjoyed the first one for a good hack-n-slash RPG, and this looks to add some nice features. Online play would have made the first one better, so it's a nice addition this time around. I'll get that one day one for sure.

Field Commander has me interested as well. Hope it turns out good. It has a crap load of online play features and looks to be a fun game.

PSP Online games are finally starting to come together, but I'd like to see more of them use the mic for voice chat.

There are a few surprisingly good online PSP games that aren't getting credit (not sure how many are logged on.) SOCOM is ugly but amazing online if you have a mic (though you'll see playing that few do). Twisted Metal PSP is criminally ignored. Xmen Legends II is good except for the hardware issues (loading, but the trade-off is I didn't want to play it on console yet changed my mind because I could meander through it on a portable.) I haven't heard complaints from the EA gamers who have those games on PSP. If they can get the damned mics in people's hands and put it in any game that can handle it (plus, just in general, made every wireless game online), it'd be swank. Hopefully, that's a focus for SCE (expecially if the PS3 network cross-breeds with PSP.)
