I have this huge craving to play a SimCity/TransportTycoon kind of game.. I was sitting idle at work today and thought of the days I used to play A-Train, and loved it. Then memories of Railroad Tycoon, Sim City 2000 and Transport Tycoon followed, and I was automatically wanting for something of the like.

The only one I tried in a long while was Sawyer's Locomotion, which, oh gods, sucked great hairy goats' balls.. So, recommend me a game

Sim City 4 is hardcore, only get it if you got a lot of time and a lot of patience. And of course a computer from 2012.

SimCity 4 is the greatest sim game ever crafted.

I don't agree with te person above my post, my computer is a 1.4ghz athlon and it runs the game well. Just make sure you have a decent amount of ram. (i.e 512 or more)

SimCity 2000 was awesome indeed, really had that excellent line between realism and fun..

I'll have to get SimCity 4 Deluxe and install this weekend!

You're lucky. Mine has 2.1ghz with 512 megs and after a population of 20000 the game chugs at low detail panned back. It is an awesome game, just have to love micromanaging.

It shugs a bit but nothing bothersome. Does your videocard have enough ram?

once the population number increases past a certain point, its basically up to your CPU

The only problem that I've found with simcity 4 is that it's almost.... too detailed. It's alot bigger in scope than simcity 2000 and really I don't even know where to begin.

I just went out and got the Sim City 4 Deluxe bargain bin EA Best Games version, it includes the expansion as well.. Installing now. XBOX am cry this weekend..

wtf ive started 3 new simcity2000 cities on easy and i cant get out of the 1960's without being in debt $10,000 and no powerplant. i used to be pretty damn good at it, not sure what im doing wrong.
