What are some of your favorite Star Wars parodies (movies, Internet videos, songs, etc.), jokes/references (on television shows, in movies, etc.), etc.? I'm interested to see the replies.. :lol

My personal favorite is probably Troops. I discovered this many years ago and laughed so hard at the time. Stormtroopers taking down Jawas is classic.

Obviously, Spaceballs comes to mind when thinking of a Star Wars (and other science fiction movies) parody. It's a great movie, and that reminds me.. should pick up the recently released anniversary edition..

In terms of a joke/reference on a TV show or movie or something, this one is really recent, but made me laugh quite hard. Anyone pick up the new Family Guy movie on DVD? The part where Peter has his own news segment called "You know what really grinds my gears?" and he starts off one of the segments with "You know what really grinds my gears? When I can't find the droids I'm looking for". Cut to some stormtroopers/sandtroopers agreeing with him. :lol :lol :lol

There was also this one song I heard years back called "Star Wars Cantina", sung to the tune of Barry Manilow's "Copacabana". I loved that song as a preteen-teen. And I still enjoy it now! :D "His name was Yoda.... he was a muppet".

There's some good Star Wars references towards the end of LOST Season 1. At one point Michael and Jin are working on the raft, Michael walks up to Jin and yells at him "No! This one goes there, that one goes there!" which is what Han yells to Chewie while in the asteroid field in Empire Strikes Back while fixing the Falcon.

In the season finale Sawyer yells at Michael and Jin and calls them "Han and Chewie."

Family Guy references are funny. The throne room celebration ending in May and a the R2/3PO and Stormtrooper references from A New Hope in the Stewart Griffin movie.

I don't think I've ever heard someone call him Stewart Griffin.. :lol

Fave fan flick: CrewOfTwo's Duality.

SW Claim to fame: I know a pub landlord that was a "Cantina Alien" in Episode 4, he was also one of the 'few' Predators used (I recall him mentioning that there were about 13 or more people that played the Predator in the first film, including extras and stuntmen) - He still has his costumes from both. (He got these types of parts due to his 6' 8" height BTW)

Truimph at the line up for episode II is classic. Futurama also had loads of great Star Wars references, but the lightsaber / baton sticks were one of the best gags.

I caught 5 minutes of American Dad a few hours ago (I think it was a repeat) and they had a Star Wars / LotR convention thing.

The best part was the Star Wars kid. Man, that kid is famous.

That art of the saber movie was really fucking cool. Those guys were better than Anakin and Obi-Wan in Episode III.

And Triumph is amazing.

Which one of these buttons calls your parents to come pick you up? :lol :lol

you wont believe your eyes see the xwing rise.

i know this is going to turn into a 'list every single SW ref', but i really like the Clerks' RotJ's socialist worker rant.

The Triumph bit is hilarious. One of my other favorites is the Star Wars audition tape from SNL:

Stage Director: Burt Reynolds, Darth Vader screen test. [clicks marker]

Casting Director: Alright, and we're rolling.

Burt Reynolds: Fire away.

Casting Director: Uh, Burt, we need the helmet.

Reynolds: Ah! [Puts on helmet]

Casting Director: Lord Vader, your sad devotion to that ancient religion has not helped you conjure up the stolen data tapes. Or given you clairvoyance enough to find the rebels' hidden fortress... Uh, Burt, you're supposed to strangle the guy now.

Reynolds: (cough) Uh, what, like, go over there and choke 'im?

Casting Director: No. No, y- y- you kinda have... gotta twist your fingers at 'im.

Reynolds: Ah... I don't get it.

Casting Director: See... see you have this mystical power.

Reynolds: (pauses) Let me ask you a question, ah... (cough) What kind of car's this guy drive?

I liked in Family Guy when Cleveland and Quagmire are fighting and everyone's saying not to hate each other, and that they're friends, then the emperor from Star wars says "Good, now let the hate flow through you."

On another note, in Castlavanis: DoS
when Celia is trying to make Sona hate her enough to make him become the dark lord (When she kills "Mina,") it reminded me ALOT of Return of the Jedi.
