I have decided to file tax myself this year. My case is pretty simple, married jointly, 1 child, wife doesn't work.

GAF What is the best filing solution for me?

They're all basically the same.

I've used CompleteTax in the past and been happy with it. It's all hosted, and I don't like how TurboTax obscures some of the things you're answering to try to dumb it down. I know that's a major selling feature, but I find it too difficult to actually get information about the form that is currently being filled out with their questions. But otherwise, your experience with TurboTax, CompleteTax, TaxAct, and whatever else, will be basically the same experience with the same tiered pricing and prices.

I use HR-Block. It's all web-based now, so just create an account and get started. I'm guessing all tax solutions do this, but it's just so easy when they pull in all your information from the previous year's returns. They do try to upsell you on unnecessary extras, but it's easy enough to click through.

Turbotax was extremely easy to do right off their website. If you don't have a complicated case with a lot of deductions and what not I don't think you can go wrong with any site.

On that note, I already submitted my form and got my refund, can I still go back and add another 1098 I just found to get more back?
