I'm travelling to LA tomorrow and I'm not old enough to rent a car. I've got a shuttle to my hotel, but what's the best option after that?

Metrolink above and underground are the best modes of transportation. Subway doesn't go to Beverly Hills because BH residents lobbied against the metro extending that far. The reason? They didn't want poor people coming over and ruining their oasis. You can take the Rapid, but we have no idea where your hotel is and you have no idea where you're heading, so...

Well, I'll know the destination tomorrow, but for now it's a mystery. Are taxis wildly expensive?

You're going to a mystery location in Beverly Hills tomorrow that you won't know the location of until tomorrow? Nice knowing you. :lol

Or is this some kind of ransom drop or drug deal?

Call them up. Usually, taxis offer either by the meter or flat rate for long distances. If it's really long, you might want to opt for the flat rate.

Seriously, people...do some research and know where you're headed. o_O

Hope you get back home in one piece.
