Big!!! blunder from local newspaper

Oh my god!!!
This is really unbelievable.

Today on the business page of the local newspaper, which is pretty much respected in this area (Don't ask me why), the following article appeared (translated from dutch):

Games for new Playstation
LONDON - Computergamesmaker Electronic Arts (EA) has shown the first games for the new handheld Playstation. In Europe five games from EA will be available at launch. It is the first time that the biggest gamesmaker of the world will dare a serious attempt on the market for handheld gameplatforms. It's still unclear when de PSP will be in the shops in The Netherlands. The launch of the PSP has been postponed in Europe because the demand exceeds the available amount of chips that is needed for the devices. The intend was that the PSP would be launched on the 24th of march in the US and Europe.

Which rock do you think they have been under in the last 15 years?

What? It's true.

All their GBA games were just half-assed ports with occasionally adding gimmicky features.

It's pretty obvious the bolded quote is talking about EA (mentioned earlier in the sentence) and as such I think it makes sense.

I was at the same event in London. Team Fusion (EA handheld department) is focused 90% on developing for PSP (the rest GBA/DS). They see PSP as the first handheld which caters the same demographic as EA games (Sport, racing, action games). Basically we can expect to see all of EA's games on PSP and a few ones on DS (big sport titles, games that fit that demographic as EA put it).

Yeah, this is the first handheld that has enough power to express modern gameplay with near-modern graphics, and it's a device targeted at the EA demographic.

I can hardly blame EA for not trying very hard on previous GB platforms since they weren't ever really in synch with then-current gameplay. Not to mention the majority of system owners were 10 year olds buying Butt Ugly Martians or some shit instead of Tiger Woods.
