-Resident Evil 4
-The Legend of Zelda
-Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat
-Donkey Konga 2
-Pokemon XD

Xbox

-Jade Empire
-Conker: Live and Reloaded
-Forza Motorsports
-Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
-Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

PS2

-God of War
-Wanda and the Collossus
-Gran Turismo 4
-Final Fantasy XII
-Kingdom Hearts

PC

-Battlefield 2
-FEAR
-STALKER
-Age of Empires 3

You can fill these in because I know very little about PC gaming.

PSP

-Lumines
-Ridge Racers
-Wipeout Pure
-Grand Theft Auto
-Mercury

DS

-Animal Crossing DS
-Meteos
-Advance Wars DS
-Mario Kart DS
-Another Code

-?

-Brothers in Arms
-Grand Theft Auto: San ANdreas
-Psychonauts
-Doom 3

No Final Fantasy XII? That is coming out this year, right?

Battlefield 2 and Age of Empires 3 are probably the most notable of the other PC releases.

add FFXII, DQVIII, and KH2 to the PS2 category.

remove Forza from the Xbox category and DK:Jungle beat from the Cube category.

Why list multiplatform games? I would take out SC:CT for PC and Xbox, throw Conker in for the Xbox side, add FEAR, Battlefield 2, and Age of Empires III for the PC, and make a multiplatform catagory with SC:CT, Spartan: Total Warrior, and Brothers in Arms. And if I were not so psyched for God of War and Wanda, I would consider Final Fantasy XII, Tekken 5, or Socom 3 for the PS2 list, if you mean "biggest" as in popularity.

Well I don't think Final Fantasy will have such an impact beyond its sales.

With this list, I was thinking review scores, industry awards, and graphical/gameplay design excellence and innovation. I'll add it, but I would need to scrap another game.

Unreal Championship 2 for Xbox I guess. Not really anything else I can think of for it.

Fire Emblem on GC. Battlefield 2 on PC. Psychonauts multi-platform.

For the Top 3 spots in America on each I'd say...

PlayStation 2
01 Gran Turismo 4 (SCEA) 3M
02 Madden NFL 2006 (Electronic Arts) 2.5M
03 Final Fantasy XII (Square Enix) 1.75M

Game Boy Advance
01 Pokemon Emerald (Nintendo) 1.5M
02 The Legend of Zelda: The Minnish Cap (Nintendo) 1M
03 Donkey Kong Country 3 (Nintendo) 600k

Xbox
01 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Rockstar Games) 1M
02 Madden NFL 2006 (Electronic Arts) 900k
03 Jade Empire (MGS) 700k

GameCube
01 The Legend of Zelda (Nintendo) 1.5M
02 Resident Evil 4 (Capcom) 700k
03 Soul Calibur 3 (Namco) 400k

Nintendo DS
01 Mario Kart DS (Nintendo) 1M
02 Yu-Gi-OH! Nightmare Troubador (Konami) 800k
03 Metroid Prime: Hunters (Nintendo) 500k

PSP
01 Grand Theft Auto: Sin City (Rockstar Games) 1.5M
02 Gran Turismo 4 mobile (SCEA) 900k
03 Madden NFL 2006 (Electronic Arts) 600k

Xbox 360
01 Perfect Dark 0 (MGS) 1M
02 Madden NFL 2006 (Electronic Arts) 600k
02 Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (Electronic Arts) 400k

I don't agree with the decision to remove multiplatform titles from Xbox... DOOM3 and SC:CT are both awesome games and are on a lot of Xbox owners lists. Other possibilities are UC2, Psychonauts, Phantom Dust, Kameo, and Pariah. Big games that already came out this year on Xbox... Oddworld, Battlefront, Mercenaries, and Republic Commando.

...and you are also leaving out a console. Xbox 360.

edit: yep, list looks good

Oh wait, you dont have a PS2 so that seems fully logical :lol

Well the last one didn't rock the world of game design or win any awards for innovation, so I'm not so sure what you mean.

Is this "big games" based on what will sell best, or based on what we WANT most? Also, I don't think listing a limited number of games is "fair" if the system happens to have way more big titles.

Nope, you're right. FFX-2 was a cash-in title. However, the new one looks like they've shaken things up a bit and graphically/cinematically looks lovely. Despite having one of the most gay looking lead characters in any FF yet, I'd go as far to say it might turn out being one of the best in the series.

I'd say the Pokemon RPG is going to sell more than 400k.

You forgot Castlevania and Final Fantasy III for DS. And add Tales of Rebirth to PS2, hopefully that'll be released here, too.

He said he's only listing "5 games" per system. But if we go down this road, then we have to add about one zillion games to the PS2 list and a bunch to the PSP and DS list, and even some to the Xbox and Gamecube lists.

I know I'll get flamed for this, but I don't see how Conker is a "big" game. Sure, it's a game that'll grab some attention, if only because of its racy content. But the first outing for this franchise wasn't huge, so why should the second have an impact? You guys should only be listing titles that are guaranteed to post big numbers. Conker isn't it. Actually, I don't think even God of War should be there. Great game? Sure, but don't expect it be a million seller.

Maybe... it depends on it's release date. Also, I'm not entirely sure Pokemon XD is a full bred Pokemon RPG, more likely it's more along the lines of Coliseum 2 I bet.

I don't know, Reggie seemed to be making a big distinction.

All Speevy's list are effed up looking at sales. None of these...

Gamecube
-Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat
-Donkey Konga 2

Xbox
-Forza Motorsports
-Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath

PS2
-God of War
-Wanda and the Collossus

PSP
-Lumines
-Ridge Racers
-Wipeout Pure
-Mercury

DS
-Meteos
-Advance Wars DS
-Another Code

GBA
-Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
-Racing Gears Advance
-Klonoa 2

...have even a gimmer of hope of making the top 5 on their respective platforms.

When did I say this had to do with sales? I'm not putting a damn Madden game on any list, regardless of how it sells.

Really? Still I dunno... I'm expecting a Nov/Dec release at best probably and I think SC3 will just have more short term selling power (maybe even cross pollinating with the new GC Zelda for some hype).

Yeah, he seemed to be implying that this would be the first time a "traditional" Pokemon RPG made its way to a console. But maybe I read into it wrong.

Well, that'd be a nice surprise. Not for me personally or you especially, but for the 10-20 million Pokemon fans anyway. :)
