I must say that when the only way you can protect your iPod from getting scratched is by covering it in a $30 skin that's hideous, it loses its appeal.

It's going to get scratched no matter what you do, just like everything else. Even you won't care after a couple of months.

Same with Sony. Out of all the Sony products i've owned over the years, i must say their Minidisc products are generally the sturdiest and most reliable, although i hear Sharps are better in terms of sound.
