Bioware and Blizzard MIA at E3? :(

No Dragon Age media. No BG3 announcement. No NWN2. No Diablo 3. No Starcraft 2. I mean, what the hell? :( How am I supposed to stubbornly defend PC gaming when all the new games are multiplatform FPSes?

Hey now, there are at least seven interesting PC games that aren't multiplatform FPSes at the show - that's seven more than last year!

Blizzard showed Star Craft: Ghost, and that looks amazing. Swingin' Apes really did an awesome job. I cant wait to play that.

E3 still isn't over. We could still see BioWare and Obsidian's UE3 powered games. Or Obsidian's NWN2.

Please.

Pretty please.

Did you completely miss the Civilization 4 announcement? That's already the most important game of this E3. Sheesh.

I think the absence of some of these long-awaited PC games in E3 is intentional on the part of PC developers as they want to separate themselves as far as possible from the unparalleled travesty that was the console and console software unveiling.

Blizzard never announces new games at E3. They always wait until the fall, with that European trade show to announce new projects. I suspect we'll see at least one new game then from them.

Yeah, it doesn't seem like there's any new software anywhere. It's all about the next-gen consoles I guess. :(

I think Blizzard is occupied with getting WoW into the shape they intended it to be at launch. Once they are reasonably happy with it they will probably then announce the expansion.

I do not expect a new game announcement from them for quite a while - Blizzard has never been a prolific publisher.

True, they only release a game every couple of years, but I can hardly think of a time where they haven't had a game announced and on the (distant) horizon.

Plus, whil Blizzard will probably be busy for a long time with WoW, what has Blizzard North been busy with? I am assuming it is most likely Diablo 3, so they could at least announce it.

NWN2 is being handled by Obsidian I believe.

The UE3 deal is only for one game. Also, no comment on Jade Empire for PC. (I wouldn't be surprised if this is announced soon, though.)

My post from another thread:

In this interview at Gamecloud, one of Bioware's CEOs states that Dragon Age is one of five titles in the works, and that one of the others is an original title running on the Unreal 3 engine. A Jade Empire PC port is also hinted at. More NWN premium module content is mentioned as well.

I'd imagine that the Unreal game counts for two of the five titles, since we'll likely see it on PC and 360.

Blizzard is showing off the new Battlegrounds instanced PvP for their cashcow.. err WoW.

Some Bioware announcements would be nice though!
