Black Adam teaser trailer (Dwayne Johnson)

That wasn't very good. I wonder why they even released that? It looks like they haven't even started filming. I don't know much about the character but I liked Shazam so I'm excited.

Animation $15,000
Storyboard: $5,000
Writers: $3,000
The Rock: $19,975,000
Music: $2,000

Someone who is good at the economy help me budget this. My studio is dying.

I'm not familiar with the comic books, but he looks like he's connected with Shazam judging by the costume. Is this supposed to be a sequel to Shazam?

It's good for what it was: a much too early teaser. Don't know why they couldn't wait until they had some filming down because it's going to make some people think it's going to be an animated movie.

As much as the rock is entirely the wrong race(s) for the role, I'm very excited about this. Great casting and a phenomenal character.

That was an utterly wank teaser though.

Looks like a motion comic. I guess they didn't have anything to show but wanted to announce it anyway.

It's been announced for a long time. Before COVID they would've been filming for a month by now. They used this motion comic to confirm the JSA in the movie: Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Cyclone, and Atom Smasher.

i can do a better intro alone....

I saw a doc about this before, some VGI, VFX, animator are so crazy to be inside the DC/Marvel that they just work for free.

Looks like those shitty endings in the new MK games, would it kill people to actually animate something.

Fuuck he would be good in God of War. I don't really feel like seeing him in anything else. Feels like he's been in everything recently, need a change of scenery.

I don't know if Dwayne can act pissed off enough to do Kratos any justice.

Comic books adaptations should be animated only IMO.

It's true to the source matrial, it's usually easier and cheaper to do and always 100% better.

The 90's - early 2000's was a great time to be a DC fan and it's all because of the DCAU.

why does every black superhero in film have to start with 'black'? surely thats racist by reeeeeeeeee-ing standards?

Black Adam isn't meant to be "black". Yes, he's from an Egypt-adjacent country in Africa or the Middle-East, but he was meant to be more "arabic" than African. Which Johnson looks like.

"Black" is because his heart was black. Not his skin color.

Arabia Adam sounds much better

halve the Storyboard
fire the Writers
spend more on Music

throw the rest at The Rock - he needs a bit of a bump

They are desperate to create black super heroes. But they are too late, most of the good ideas are taken. They should stick on blackwashing existing characters.

It's so no one confuses them with "Really tan Lightning" and "There is actually a pale Jewish kid under this mask Panther".

But will Mediterranean origin folk get upset that they (once again) lost out on representation?

This trailer was straight up trash. Though I do look forward to this movie. Though funny enough I had once suggested that the Rock should be Black Adam many years ago. I laugh at the fact that it became reality. Though they could've easily casted someone closer to the comic book character.
