Black Desert - Corsair Awakening Gameplay Trailer

"oh my god this game is a grindfest its too much for me its all just afk" nah been playing for years, still play all the time, love it, if you are grinding then thats your problem. The game soft caps at 56 and medium caps at 61. theres technically no level cap but to get to 62 is a grind if thats all you care about ...but if just like doing everything else the game has to offer ,,,and its a lot...then you can just do whtat i do ...enjoy the sandbox nature of the game and ...your levels eventually build up.

Also there is more an emphasis on alts being more or less your main as a afmily as opposed to them being unrelated alts.

honestly ive never played an mmo that updated and added and constantly evolved things as much as this does , it updates with lots of new stuff and large changes every Wednesday morning.

having started with EQ1 and played through mmos through the years its the only one that i can jump into whenever i feel like it.

If you play mmos just to get to the big raid dungeun and get that ultimate weapon of power until they make the next rinse and repeat one...yea prob not for you.

I personally can never go back to playing closed world , zoned, games with emphasis on theme park mechanics. I could also def never go back to playing hotbutton bingo in combat. I love having the combat and comboing all done with street fighter like key mechanics.

Does this game ever actually play like it does in the trailers?
Yes! But it's INSANELY P2W. It's a standard P2W KMMO. I played it for a bit, before it got worse. Essentially upgrades can " Break" your gear and can even DOWNGRADE. Which is where the cash shop comes in.

By the looks of it I'm 120% sure this game wasn't designed by a woman. When will designers truly capture a woman's essence?

This was what most users reviews was saying on google play store when i tried out the game on mobile.

Game looked amazing running on mobile but the gameplay was too automatic so i droped it the same day i installed it.

I look forward to playing this game when I eventually get a PS5. It ran horribly on the base PS4. Actually dropped a couple of hours in the mobile version, it was pretty fun, looked gorgeous too.

Yes its even better. Only downside gives my wrist eternal pain to play it with the keys they got going so i quited it.

The trading meta game was fun in the game tho.

This is the best slice of life simulator out there imo. No matter what you do it always feels like you're progressing. The node system is complex and interesting. The life skills, gathering, farming, crafting, trading, processing, is literally hundreds of hours in itself, without ever touching a weapon.

The game is a long process though. Want to build a boat to explore the ocean? You're gonna need lodgings, workers, materials, and LOTS of time, might take a week to build a decent ship. You have all that in the background step by step while you go out and gather more resources or just do other shit.

I could go on for hours about this game. The game world just 'feels' right, coherent, well thought out, and mystical/whimsical without being a joke. Very well done.

Is there bugs? Yup
Is there predatory MTX? Yup

Still a really chilled, can almost be medaditive experience if you can get into it.

PS: turn off chat, its the worst in any game ive seen.

I played it for about 100 hours last summer, but I stopped when I got to a point where it just felt like way too much for me. I had a quest where I had to kill 500 ennemies in the desert, but you actually needed to do this in 4 different place to get 4 different stones or whatever, so it was actually killing 2000 ennemies, and then I realized, when I gave back the quest to the NPC, that it was just the first part to unlock the actual item, and that I needed to do the whole thing 3 times, so it would be killing 6000 ennemies...

That's just... I don't know I don't have words for it, I just don't understand it. The gameplay might be more fun than other mmos, doing this is still horrible, insanely repetitive and really long for nothing, it's just a pure waste of time. And when I talked about it in the game's chat, everyone replied to me with answers like "lmao, why are you playing a mmo?" "LOL that's nothing, later you will have to kill 50k ennemies daily, get used to it" and I understand this even less, I don't get why people accept this, it's just boring and repetitive, and it's because players accept this that this is a thing in the first place...

I really liked the world, the visuals and all, but the gameplay loop is too "mmo" for me I guess... I've always been attracted by the "idea" of mmos, being immersed in a virtual world like this, but I never like how they are done, I just hate how mmos always feel like "mmos", if that means anything.

I'm also disappointed that these games don't feel more alive / social in an immersive way, some people talk on the global chat, but no one talk with each other with proximity chat, I don't know I miss the old school style with people chatting with bubbles over their characters, no one does that anymore, but I really liked this, meeting random people, chatting a bit, and maybe doing some stuff together, not necesarilly something 100% role play, but at least some realistic / social interaction, but no, it just feels like everyone is doing their own thing without carring about anyone around them, so it's like playing a single player game and seeing ghosts of other people. This part is for all mmos though (that I tried), not just black desert.

If you're timing it good at pulling off the combos and you have a PC that can run this game smoothly then yes :D

I do miss me a bit of BDO, I haven't played it since the Developers got the rights back to the game. Might test it out again.

This is the most overused statement by people who just didnt play it enough. There is literally 0 P2W in this game as there is nothing to win, UNLESS you want to play absolute top tier PvP and even then its questionable.

This phrase is thrown around by those who just want to play dress up as the best costumes are from the Pearl Shop, and even that can be circumvented as whales buy them and sell them on the market. I've got one of each costume for my Wizard, full inventory expanded, all TET gear, infinite whistle, 8 pets, and never spent a penny on it.

Like any MMO, you need to play it regularly to get the most out of it. Atm there is a log in event which gives you 7 days premium free, same with the last one. They regularly give out pearl shop items as attendance rewards also, along with a shit ton of cron stones, advice of valks, tears of ascalon etc etc which means you can upgrade to TET relatively cheaply with minimal stress. On top of that, there are so many ways to make passive income, you can just sell all your upgrade mats for a ton of silver and just buy already uograded gear, which the twitch shooters hate as it requires time. It would be fair to say it can be regarded as Pay 2 Skip but not Pay 2 Win, but why pay to skip if you enjoy the game in the first place? And if you dont enjoy the game, why play it then complain its Pay 2 win when it isnt?

The game has many issues for sure, but being P2W is not one of them and as I said, it's just thrown around by people who spent a few hours in, realised they cant play fashion wars, and got upset.

You guys are seeing classes with dmc level combat in an mmo, where each class has its own movesets as intricate as DMC or a platinum game.

Any gamer should be very curious about this because that isnt common...at all.

Try seeing that in a western game, or a bethesda game...

Sorry I just dont see how people dont notice black desert is doing something insane. But people here buy...valhalla *sigh*

It's way better on PC, but still suffers from P2W.

Still hoping for the day some big Korean devs start making non grindy single player games.
All these games look fun as hell in the trailer until you read about them and they're all pretty much second jobs
