The guild system actually sounds awesome... except for this:

I did have around 100,000 silver by the end of beta at level 20 so maybe the fee will not be that bad in reality.
I'm using the beta version and shadow play worked fine. Apart from the huge badge in the bottom left

Combat works good enought with a controller, other than targetting while moving and attacking.
The problem is the UI. It has basically no controller support, so you can only use a virtual cursor with a stick. It's really annoying
You can just patch the beta apparently
I'm starting the GAF Guild when I can, yes.
Between this n blade n soul i think tera will die.
Its quite awesome how blade n soul n this have the same combat system but entirely different mmo. Bns = raid n korean grind. Black desert = sandbox do what u want.
p2w + desync = im done + uninstall
Sad, I was so ready to finally have some decent MMO but meh its just 1 more moneygrabMMO.
The ghille suit seems kind of fucked up for PVP.How is it P2W, I didn't see anything in the store that would be P2W

It's not stats But it hides your name and when you lay down in grass you're pretty much invisible to other players.what where the stats on it?

Honestly, I can't believe they actually put stats on the cash shop costumes. It's a B2P game for god's sake. No matter how small/meaningless the stats are, it's still not acceptable for a paid game. Imho.
I think people are very confused of what is a P2W... and this game is not ..
The term p2w has become completely meaningless with time. Every individual has its own definition at this point.

Half the time even exp boosters and such are considered Pay 2 win...
Apparently getting to max level faster is "winning"...
Um... I just saw mention of Energy...
Does... does this game have another one of those stupid energy systems where it goes: "Oh you want to play more? Go fuck yourself"?
I may skip this then...
Yes, but iirc it's not used for leveling. Only for gathering and side activities.
Well, the problem is, this game is a sandbox and you'll do lots of those side activities if you're into that stuff (or just want to get wealthy).
Why... Why do they do this. I've been seeing this more and more in games lately and it's starting to become real bullshit. The only game I've seen that removed it was freaking Vindictus (in that case, you literally couldn't play anymore after running out of your daily tokens.)
Is it a Korean to Western thing? If so, just remove it for the west!

Energy System
Unlike the KR version, processing requires energy. Especially at a lower level this may slow you down more than you might enjoy. However, this feature is part of a controlling mechanism to prevent the marketplace to be overflowed with certain items, hence destroying the actual benefit from using that feature in the first place and to partially slow down the progress in benefit of the game’s longevity.
However, we have taken your feedback into consideration and the result should be in everyone’s interest. Energy Potions will not be sold in the Cash Shop. In addition, it is currently being discussed to add a system that allows players to consult an NPC that will magically transfer your unused energy into an Energy Potion which can be sold on the marketplace. Ultimately this will lead to a shift of energy and allow people to collect energy over time to utilize it when needed.
Additionally, processing at a higher profession level will receive a chance of not consuming any energy at random.
Currently, it's not, but it's a start. ArcheAge and Rift, for example, didn't have P2W stuff on their cash shop either initially. The problem is, the moment players allow the little things, devs and pubs will eventually go to that route (as they think that they're allowed to do that). I'm talking about the service in the long run. I really hope I'm wrong, though.
It's debatable, especially in a pvp-focused mmo.
For example, if you can out-level others via faster leveling stuff, you may have a better chance defeating the lower-leveled players in the arena/siege. The faster you progress in a game (with better stats and gears due to higher level), the higher the gap between you and the rest of average players. Yes, they'll eventually catch you up, but leveling in Black Desert is very grindy especially post level 50. However, I still have no idea how the game scale pvp arena and siege, so I may be wrong on this.
I really wish there was a good guide describing all of the games systems, specifically in regard to the U.S./EU version. Like, I want to know more about nodes and crafting and gathering. I'd like information on what version of the PvP were getting. Housing, taming...Stuff like that. I really enjoyed the game and do love sandboxes. I bought in at the highest level. I just want to know how to focus when I start playing.

The game had been out for a few years and it doesn't have any element P2W in KR/JP/RU.
Despite me having a 7870 which was in the recommended specs, i couldn't even play the game without having to reduce everything down to PS1 textures and 0 lighting/shadows/draw distance/anything of any sort. All that time spent downloading and it looked kinda fun too :/
Reading the guild system, i have a few questions
You have to accept a contract for a guild, and there's a fee for quitting, or you get compensated by getting kicked. Each person has a daily paycheck, does that come out of the guild funds? Is the guild "tax" the paychecks, or is that a separate fee? And the contracts can both be extended and the payment amount can be changed by leader/ second in command, right?
The 0 day contract, does that enter you in the guild without you needing to pay the contract fee and get daily allowances?
Does guild karma count if you are attacked first in world pvp?

I actually couldnt chat at some point because I had no energy left...chatting costs 1 energy lol...

This is false. You could buy in game gold at the start in Archeage (Apex). The only way to get good gear in that game was through buying gold. Farming enough cash to pay for it was impossible.Currently, it's not, but it's a start. ArcheAge and Rift, for example, didn't have P2W stuff on their cash shop either initially.
It takes 14-20 hours to hit 50. Without bonuses. It's debatable, especially in a pvp-focused mmo.

But its all about the grind post 50.
Yep. It's all about gear post-50.When you grind post 51 you should focus on making money, levels will come naturally.
You are completely useless if you are lvl 53 with 40 atack and 60 defence.

Wait, I just glanced at it. Isn't vigor shared? The guide says to make level 1 alts so they can regen vigor separately.Maybe you should look here

No energy isn't shared across characters. What is shared is the size of the energy bar. So for example if you did some quests on you main that increased the maximum energy you could hold by 10, you alts would also have this benefit without having to do the quest again.
Well, you should stop worry about them spamming. What you should worry about would be telling Joel to get his ass on Skype.Global chat costing energy is the best idea. Anything to reduce the massive amount of meme spam, trump jokes, or just plain vulgar jokes (huhu rape). I don't even care about gold spam. The other shit is far more irritating.
The sooner those fools spend all their energy on that crap, the better. If they want to hinder their progress by spamming chat with it for a bit, go ahead.
I completely forgot to take non character selection screens of everyone but my witch...
I remember there is a Character Creator program. Can we use it to set up our character for launch?
