I bought this last week and I just got suckered in. This is really the first MMORPG I've played seriously. It is a lot less grindy than I thought it would be, thanks to the satisfying combat. I'm already at level 40 with my dark knight, so I've been thinking about just focusing on life skills for now.
Any suggestions on efficient node investment if I want to grind out cooking and trading?
You still have access to exp servers. The grind to 50 is incredibly easy. It grind to 55 is still easy with 56 being slightly tougher. 57 is where you really need to start putting in a few hours per day of buff stacking and efficient grinding. It only gets slower from there.
That said, grinding levels is not even half the grind in the game.
-Grind for cash to buy what you need/want.
-Grind life skills because it saves you time and money in the long run.
-Grind bosses for boss drops.
-Grind contribution points because there is never enough.
-Grind skill points for skills you probably won't use.
-Grind your teeth into fine powder from frustration due to fail bids on items you want in market.
For nodes. It sort of depends where you're at and what amount of CP you have to work with.
Generally speaking, crafting beer from workers can go a long way over time. This is really easy as you only really need some kind of starch which is potato (all around Velia) or wheat (Heidel, Northern Wheat Plantation) or barley etc. The rest of the ingredients you can buy.
Cooking Honey (Alejandro Farm, NW of Heidel) is very useful to have for a number of recipes and you can sell on market very easily too.
Chicken for eggs is popular. Rate of getting eggs is kind of low but for something to get over time it still helps. Farming is more efficient but high CP cost and farms need tending.
Might also be good to try and get a toolshop house and work on cooking utensil. You will need some wood for it depending which one you make.
Both trading and cooking quests help a bit with exp.
Since I recently started trying to make an Epheria sailing boat... I guess I just want to say it might be nice to get a pine wood node early.
There are video guides for efficiency and starting your node empire. I actually think some of it is a bit too much because sometimes I don't know which items I want now and which I want later or not at all. I ended up having a lot of wasted CP gaining materials I didn't need yet and wasn't sure if I should sell them or not. I eventually redid everything as I started getting more into cooking and processing so I focused mostly on those nodes and only switched nodes to stuff when I needed to.
I'd rather they make more classes than worry about making sure there is a male/female version of each class. Specially they way they do it where each class is at least a little different and usually even more so with their awakening weapon.
If they want to do a 1:1 where the only difference is gender, great. I really don't need more kuno/ninja, blader/maehwa, witch/wiz.
I sort of agree. The better option would have been to not have classes tied to gender to begin with but I guess they are kind of stuck now.
I'd rather they have more body types. At the moment it looks like they have about 3 for each gender and some of them are rather similar any way.
A female giant type character would be nice too.
