From the mtv article:
Helmed by "Hustle & Flow" writer-director Craig Brewer, "Black Snake Moan" depicts an anxious white girl (Ricci) who's "cured" of her self-destructive nymphomania by Lazarus, an older black bluesman played by Samuel L. Jackson.

I don't really know how I'm suppose to feel about this...

why do i get the feeling Sam himself is the executive producer of this little film? I can just picture the production meeting now:

"I have a great idea for my next movie: I get to fuck white bitches. You
motherfuckers fill in the rest, im going to Fatburger."

I seriously thought it was a joke imdb project. Even Justin Timberlake is in the movie for gods sake.

Samuel, what wont you do?

I can see the future: Last minute change .. Sam Jackson out. Craig Brewer assumes the lead role.

He's going to be the next Woody Allen.

Wait - is this that "Snakes on the Plane" movie that people were talking about on here in this thread?:

If so - the link to the blog where the screenwriter raves about 'Snakes on the Plane" is a hilarious read:

If they run with the whole snakes on the plane theme, and then intermix tons of hideous interracial sex innuendos, this is definitely shaping up to be one of those trainwreck movies that could be so intentionally bad that you could have a blast watching it with a few friends and a few drinks.

No it's a different movie. Maybe Samuel is working on a snake-themed trilogy
I hear the last one will take place in during the Russian Revolution.
