Cost me like 100$ but damn,it sure worth it,my teeth looks so much better,not that i had very dark teeth before but it looks totally awesome now,didnt expect them to be so much whiter.I have to clean them 3 times a day now though,or they will get darker again

Whitening your Teeth is bleaching right? Just in case im wrong in the title.

My dentist charged me €350, and that was just for a kit you use at home yourself - though admittedly, he sent away to have the mouth tray moulded to fit my teeth exactly.

Bleaching with a laser costs €600+ here..I think I'll go that route next time though. I wasn't 100% happy with my results from the home-use kit. It took a long while to see the results, and they never got up to the level of whiteness i was expecting (well, the immediately front teeth did, but outside of the front four never got to the same level).

One day I noticed my friends teeth were considerably white (not that they were ever bellow to begin with. But it was noticeable.

She used Crest WhiteStrips. Said they cost around $25. I',m thinking of giving those a try for $25. One of my other friends has his bleached for $300 and he looked bizarre. He was OVER bleached. His teeth were neon.

Anyone else have good luck with Crest White Strips?

I've heard about these, and wonder about them too. The strips only come into contact with part of your teeth, and i'm wondering if they only whiten that immediate area below the strip, or do they whiten the whole tooth?

I;ve used the crest strips and had good results. Well worth the $25 bucks. I noticed a difference in a few days. They covered my the entire tooth, at least the ones I had. Tho they only cover the visable front teeth, no molars. Not a problem for me at least. THo if you have caps or veneers, they do will not bleach those and you'll have unevenly colored teeth.

Thanks. Do you need to do it multiple times? With multiple applications will the teeth get lighter and lighter?

I've also heard about those stips, and so has the swedish government. They're now illegal in this country. Apparently (sp?) they can cause damage to your teeth and gums, so they wen't off the market _real_ fast over here (just heard about them when they went illegal).

That's interesting. I just tried to order some off Amazon, and it told me they couldn't ship it to my address (Ireland).

The chemical in it (hydrogen peroxide), is the same chemical used in the kit I got from my dentist, so I doubt it is that that makes is illegal in Sweden (and possibly here). I was cautioned about damage to my gums by my dentist however (i.e. it can cause receeding gums if your gums aren't healthy to begin with etc.)

I tried both whitestrips and the night effects by crest..I definately think the night effects is alot more effective. Its tedious brushing them on every night, but its worth it.
