A sequence from season 2 starts halfway through the vid

Day 1. Loved the first one, even if the last episode went a bit off the rails and turned the show into a Marvel episode.

Read manga like Vagabond and Blade of Immortal, much better stories than western writers. No gender politics, either.

I didn't.....love....season 1 but it was enjoyable enough. But it got so bananas by the end I'm not sure how well it will translate to England. Hope they dial her waaaaaaaaay back though I'm sure they have at least five scenes of her slicing through waves of englishmen in full armor and pikes, dodging musket balls, flipping over cannon shot. And removed from Japan does she need to hide her gender?

Anyway, hope the supporting cast is fun 'cause the lead is pretty dour. But as one of the few adult animated shows out there, I'll support it.

watched the first episode of the original season... honestly felt kinda of meh. Does it get much better later on?

Yes, though the peak happens at half season.

I enjoyed first season, except for a dumb Kill Bill reference that felt out of place. The ending was fine but not as good as previous episodes.

Thanks for the recommendations, but my God can we not bring the usual rantings into every thread. Damn.

Well, it doesn't help that this show gets preachy from the very first episode.

It's completely expected, and not that bad as Western writing goes these days, but it was enough to make me quit. There are too many other shows out there to enjoy that don't feel the need to do it.

I don't like that in the trailer the blue eyed samurai uses her ally's body as a meat shield and then plucks the arrows off his body. Instantly makes her unlikable.

Is Netflix still on full woke mode? This show looks cool but I have my values too and I cancelled my subscription because of it.

Season 1 was fucking amazing and brought me back faith in modern anime. Not perfect but so much better than just about anything else in this category on netflix and elsewhere
