Bomberman vs Meteos

I just picked up both at the gamerush 30% nintendo sale on break and am unsure which one to try first when I get off work ? any thoughts

I picked up both today as well. I swore to never buy another Bomberman game again (the 20 or so I have currently is more than enough) but the reviews were quite good, so, fuck it. I am Bomberman's bitch.

Meteos is the game I'd play first, but for multiplayer Bomberman is outstanding, so go with that when you have someone to play it with.

Game Rush is having 30% off on all Nintendo DS, Gamecube and gameboy advance games from now til at least the 4th. This includes new ones as well.

I spent $37 for it at Gamestop. No other stores had it though and I couldn't wait. =(

Personally, I would go with Meteos. I just played it for the last couple of hours, and once you get over the initial shock of how fast things are going, the game is just brilliant. Hell, you even start speeding up the game to get more blocks. It's addictive, yet very deep.

Not to say that there is anything wrong with Bomberman, it's just that Meteos is on a different level. Unless you're playing Bomberman multiplayer.

How does Bomberman play? Is it just various deathmatches or something like Super Bomberman where there are little puzzles and such along with the simple three or four enemies.

I mean, I'm interested, but it just doesn't scream BUY ME BUY ME.

Meteos on the other hand, yum

Just got done trying both.

In short, Meteos is superior (even though they are different games) but I was actually suprised by bomberman, even the bots are fun to play against.

Overall it came out to $44.72...I saved about $15 though probably more since tax was less too.

Play Bomberman first, because once you play Meteos you probably won't take it out for a while.

As for the Bomberman vs. Meteos debate in general, if you play a lot of multiplayer, you should have them both in your library. Anyone who passes up a round of 8-player Bomberman is a fool in my book. Meteos is the better overall game because of the single player options, obviously.

Just played about an hour of Bomberman single player. YAWN! Same freakin' game they've been making for over 15 years. No wonder Hudson Soft has fallen of the map in the last two generations. Hopefully multiplayer is a lot better.

Give ya $20 for it

You'd think after all these years that they should probably work on a more in-depth Bomberman Single Player adventure

Coming from a person who actually thought Bomberman Hero was OKAY. As much fun multiplayer is, I wouldnt mind a 4 player cooperative adventure with Bomerman Hero's platforming elements (Tweaked to perfection, of course)

If Hudson wont make it, I will and then laugh at them when my team takes 40% of the profits!

Hrmm...I should think this through...
