As you know BL3 got a 91 on metacritic, I look at borderlands at doing a good job, where it gets rejected from is from the woke crazies who hate the world.

Trailer was ass, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
Only got to the second planet in BL3 before I self-combusted from the cringe writing. Physics and gun handling is great tho.

I was judgemental before on why Sony gave BL4 a SOP show, and why not a 1st or 2nd party Sony exclusive. Well, it was not bad. It looks good. Me and my brother enjoyed BL1 on Ps3. I hope they capture the same charisma of the BL1

Not hating on this but BL2 is just begging for a remaster.
I felt BL3 kinda lost its way. Legendary gear was too common. The permanent stats had a limit (from what i remember).
Too many elements. Lost interest very quick.

As much as I am a fan of borderlands you've got to admit 3 was preachy as fuck. It was all over the place... pretty much all the npc of importance on the side of the vault hunter were woman, several were queer coded or straight up stated as so, you get to attend a gay wedding, the huge fat lady no longer joked about but instead treated as mighty, the main enemy were male-female twins and the male part essentially survived by leeching his sister, and the real enemy was the twins father who apparently was a such a shitty father that he turned his children into monsters.

I mean let's blast together a game of bl3 coop anytime - I'm game! - but it's easy to understand some people could see that and dislike it.

As a fan however, I'm personally more worried about the dev's claims that legendaries will be "an important, rare event" the nerf to world drops they patched into bl3 made some items exceedingly tedious and repetitive to farm and killed the signature lootsplosions the series is known for. I think internally they blame them for the short life 3 had compared to two.

I'm in, this type of gameplay is 100% my jam. 3 missed for me though so the return to roots with modern additions is welcome.

The game looks like fun but that music is fucking annoying and cringy.

I guess I'm just fucking old.

Totally agree, I played the hell out of 1, 2, 2.5 (pre-sequel) but 3 left me cold, all of the fun was gone from the setting.

I'm very wary of B4 and that the series is back on track, maybe after the awful movie it has snapped Gearbox back to reality.

The thing that this will rise or fall on though is the story. The fact that we have no info on it is somewhat alarming.

I kinda liked it? We've spent a ton of time in B3 with friends and I think same will be with B4. It's not like the market of these types of games is overcrowded.

That being said, in coop it's very easy to ignore plot and story altogether, so that's not a point of concern for me personally.

I don't ever expect a great villain like Handsome Jack again, dude was so damn funny and just cool but at least keep the cringe ass characters that we did see in 3 to a minimum please.

This looks much better in tone than BL3. Actually think it looks really good.
Same. More excited than I thought I'd be.

I hope they get the loot right this time. My biggest problem with BL3 was half the guns you got just felt like shit to play

I would expect story to be the last concern in a co-op looter shooter.
The problem is when you're forced to stand there listening to NPCs yap endlessly before you can continue playing. If the writing is as bad as it's been in the past it becomes insufferable.

Gearbox got beat up pretty badly over BL3 despite the gunplay feeling pretty good and scoring highly with critics. I'm hoping they have taken the feedback they received on that game and are coming back down to earth.

The entire 8th gen actually felt like a half step to shooter games, the animation, vibe, atmosphere don't match together.

Looks exactly the same as BL3, hope this time I don't have to set the dialogue on mute to play the game and avoid getting annoyed at the constant nonsense blabbering from all the awful characters...

I actually enjoyed the writing in Borderlands 1-2, Pre-sequel & Tales from the Borderlands.
The poster quest is the pre-sequel when you play as Claptrap is genius. The game does not get the credit it deserves for giving the player character a voice.

Looks like Borderlands. I had a fun time playing 3 with my son. We may enjoy this one together.

Guns animations looks fake compared to bl2.
