Story is serviceable enough. I don't play Borderlands for Story. What I've seen in the the Event footage from some streamers/content creators attending the event is it's Open World Borderlands with a ton of mobility options. And humor is seemingly less rampant and toned down/grounded so this is a nice change.

Story seems to be Elpis warp crashes onto near this new Planet. Vault Hunters looking for Vaults go there. Get caught by Timekeeper and get embedded with either a slave collar or mind control device and I assume another antagonist Robot Lady breaks you out of said device and story probably revolves around defeating the Timekeeper. Seems ok so serviceable.

I think if you ever wanted a Openworld or Sandbox Borderlands with minimal load times if any then this is probably the one to get.

Looks good to me. I kinda mimic a couple content creators and I can sense some similarity to exploration from BL1 which I loved instead of BL2/BLTPS/BL3 feeling like a bunch of maps stapled together.

Plus it takes place on a full new Planet and has no Pandora involved which is refreshing.

Optimistic. Might be worth waiting for a sale though. $130 for everything is steep.

I have no idea what's happening and I like the Borderlands games for the story.
But I haven't played Borderlands 3 further than the second planet and I never touched New Tales from the Borderlands.

Pretty much this. Nothing egregious in the trailer. Just nothing standing out as interesting.

Having said that - It's Borderlands. Nothing is going to top Handsome Jack. Most fans are there for the guns and gunplay.

The system, the soundtrack, the atmosphere, the gameplay loop, the guns and some characters such as Handsome Jack were always fun. Everything else sucks, but that everything else is far less than the former which is why all the games in the franchise are good and above.
