A new version of Brain Bread has been release. It's a coop mod for Half-Life 1 (classic) where you and your friends fight waves upon waves of slow walking zombies using all sorts of weapons found in the levels (axes, handgun, shotgun, uzi, assault weapon, helicopter gattling gun, sniping rifles).

The game has a pretty cool engine modification that allows you to blow off limbs, arms, part of the stomach, of a half of a head. It's pretty well done, but it needs some bug hunting to perfect. Sometimes you shoot an ennemy at close range and he flies accross the room to explode in pieces on a wall

The levels are mission based. Sometimes you have to retrive a suitcase from a zombies infested zone, guard a barricade and defend it from increasing waves of zombies that gets harder to kill, or defeat "boss zombies" who are bigger zombies. Then you have to escape from the area

If you get killed, you turn into a fast runner (think 28 Days Later), and you have to kill your former teammates :lol :lol which is funny as hell. I wait until they get overwhelmed to jump in the battle :lol :lol . You repawns as a human once you ate enough fresh human brain.

The mod is pretty early, its not without problem, you can get stuck in certain objects, but typing /stuck in the console will usually fix the problem. The graphics are crude, but they make the job. :lol

Check it out here. It's worth giving a try, and its a blast with friend, even if its still very beta. The biggest problem are the very random bug that gets you stuck in objects, it happens so randomly, its not a problem. It's funny when it happens, because you cant move and now all the zombies give their attentions to you :lol, so if youre get stucked, youre fucked, unless youre quick enough on the typing

now that you mentioned respawning as a zombie, this sounds way better than Zombie Panic, which is the same idea, but with only one zombie to start and the round ends when either all humans are killed or all zombies are killed.

That sounds pretty cool... are there a lot of people playing it online? If so, I may have to get around to reinstalling HL1 again...

Oh, and...

Forget if that's a bug or not, that just sounds cool...

HOLY SHIT THIS LOOKS LIKE TONS OF AWESOME.

Is it easy to install and get set up to play?

Just download, click and it install by itself. Then you have the option for BraindBread straight into your steam menu
