Hey folks, Harry here... Now this isn't a for sure thing. Kellvin over at Latino Review posted a story they'd gotten regarding Marlon Brando reprising his role as Jor-El in Bryan Singer's SUPERMAN flick. Now - this wasn't going to be one of those CG dealios - but rather utilizing footage that Richard Donner shot with Brando that he never used. I've had friends dreaming about this (Robogeek mainly). Well - Kellvin asked me to check it out with my sources - and so I did. Here's what I got.
It certainly is possible. It IS in motion, it isn't 100% yet and it could all fall apart. He IS Jor-El. But - till all the "t" and "i"s are dotted and crossed it isn't for sure. There's legal issues, footage issues, rights issues, estate issues. It's a complicated thing to get Brando and the footage to be used. Is that footage in great shape? Do they have it? Like I said, Singer and crew are investigating and it is part of their plan, but plans can be fucked up. Let's hope it all works out!
