Breakfast Sandwich-Age

Will QA for food.
What's your favorite breakfast sandwich (fast food, or otherwise)?

I'm partial to Tim Horton's sausage on on a biscuit. The biscuit adds something that's just missing from a place like McDonalds.
Ironically, McDonalds has better coffee these days. hurr..
I still wish they used something other than craft singles for cheese though. :lol

As for home-made breakfast sandwiches.. a fried egg, tomatoes, Monterey jack and some deli meat (oven roasted turkey) works for me. Bacon, of course, it a welcomed addition.

It's a shame so many places stop serving breakfast at 10:30, because they make a pretty good quick lunch!

By the way, for those in Ontario, Subway is giving away free breakfast sandwiches tomorrow. I've never had one, but if the lineup isn't absurd on the way to work tomorrow, I try it out.

Too unhealthy for me nowadays. I used to love mcgriddles at mcd's tho, a few years back.

You can ask at Timmies for real cheddar rather than processed cheddar, unless something's changed since I worked there. It's still a cheese slice but it's closer to real cheese than fake.

I make the best breakfast sandwich on Earth; fluffy whipped eggs (w/splash of milk), cheese and bacon on wheat toast or in a wrap. That's usually Saturday or Sunday breakfast if I wake up before like, 2pm :lol

If I have to buy a breakfast sandwich from a fast food place, always the simple McDonald's bacon/egg/cheese biscuit.

Otherwise, the local delis and bodegas always put together a great bacon/egg/cheese sandwich on a roll or bagel (or once in a blue moon, a hero?) for between $2.50 and $4. Can't beat that. Fuck that fake/halal beef bacon, though. Real bacon or bust, dammit!

I have been making my own breakfast sandwich type thing at home in the morning for the last few days. OK its really a breakfast taco but here it is.

Ingredients
-------------
2 small corn tortillas
4 strips of bacon
2 eggs
.5 cup of homeade pico de gallo

1. cook bacon
2. scramble eggs
3. heat tortillas
4. put bacon and eggs in tortilla
5. top with pico de gallo

Pretty good alternative to a bread based breakfast sandwich.

Do want. Breakfast burritos are also a thing of beauty.

I'm partial to the Double Croissanwich from Burger King, with Ham and Bacon as the meats. When I make my own, its usually eggs, pepper jack, and bacon with mayo on toasted sourdough bread.

Apparently an all-day breakfast menu is almost logistically impossible for most major fast-food chains to handle. Like, it's been decades and no one has figured out a workable (profitable) solution, which is hilariously bizarre. Every now and then I hear McD's or BK is trying it out somewhere but it never goes national.

Oh man, a thread about one of my most favorite things ever. I love the plain microwavable sausage biscuits. I've had one every morning for years.

Get some chorizo up in that bitch and then you're talking. Love breakfast burritos...

If I'm on the run, I usually grab a McMuffin or a McGriddle.

Sonic does all day breakfast.

Personally, my favorite is a baguette with provolone, two eggs, and fresh sausage from the Amish folks.

Sounds good, but doesn't come close to a bandeja tipica I would get back in university from a small Columbian restaurant.

Breakfast Burrito:

Grate some potatoes and saute them until they are golden hash browns.
Saute chorizo or bacon
Softly scramble eggs
Roll the hash browns, eggs, chorizo/bacon with some fresh roasted green chili and queso fresco.
Grill the burrito on all sides and enjoy

If a chicken biscuit isn't available then the classic Egg McMuffin

The poor mans eggs Benedict and the best culinary invention of the past 50 years.

And perhaps it's heir to the throne, the oddly fascinating clash of sweet, salt, and savory steam table fixins, the McGriddle.

Pancakes with suspended gobs of syrup as a bun!

My 2 favs are ones I make at home. First one is eggs, cheese, and steak-ums on an everything bagel. Second is eggs, cheese, and sausage on grilled cheese style sandwich bread. After the eggs and sausage are cooked, I butter the outside of the bread, put the eggs and sausage in, and cook just like a grilled cheese until bread is golden brown. Give it a try GAF!

The McDonalds bacon and egg bagel is much better than i thought it would be.

The a&w breakfast sandwiches are disgusting

The microwavable breakfast sandwiches usually look unappetizing to me.

The Jimmy Dean biscuits seem to be more common at my son's daycare these days, and they look awful.

I love me a Sourdough Breakfast Sandwich from Jack in the Box. If not that, a sausage Breakfast Jack or one of those new Grilled Breakfast Sandwiches are good, too.

When I cook breakfast, I throw together whatever I have. I made these this weekend.

Turkey bacon

I love the Tim Horton breakfast sandwich (Called the Timatin herein Qc, which is a nice turn of phrase) but I prefer the version on the english muffin. slightly lighter tasting than the original biscuit.

I used to have them more often but I've been cutting down the last 6 months. Maybe I nly have one a month now.

but they are sooooo good.

Subway's breakfast sandwich is cheap but absolutely disgusting. I feel sick just thinking about it.

Haven't had one yet, maybe its for the best. Although I'm a little more intrigued now

Blake's Lotaburger breakfast burritos are amazing. They make everything fresh in front of yo and it's only like 3.50 total for a sizeable burrito. I try to get one once every week.

There's better burritos out there, obviously, but as fast food chains go, it's unrivaled.
