How bleak is Sunday's Season 4 premiere of "Breaking Bad"? New rule: No drinking. No sitting by windows. No sharp objects.

First 38 mins, zero spoilers. Next 22min, vague hints (nothing major) regarding Season 4.

I only skimmed them. They're both very positive, though not as effusive as the Sepinwall/Goodman reviews.Superimposer said:Don't want to read spoilers... how good are the reviews?

ted is kind of creepy for asking her to do that in front of everyone
and then people clapped afterward! i would be like "uh... did you guys want to get a room"
There's good television and then there's great television. And then there's BREAKING BAD, which belongs in a category all its own. With the greatest story-arcs, characters, writing, acting, direction, and plot twists on the air right now, BREAKING BAD is must-watch TV.
We're so excited it's finally coming back for Season 4. At the end of last year, protagonist meth cook/dealer Walter White (3-time Emmy award winner Bryan Cranston) was pretty much dead. That he lives to lead another season is a very kind thing that the TV gods have done for us. Thankfully, he's saved by his partner in crime, the brilliantly compelling Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), and hopefully they'll be joining forces to become the hardest, creepiest, most scientifically-meticulous drug peddlers in all of New Mexico.
What will happen in Season 4? Will Walt get his family back? Will the DEA crack down on Gus's laundromat/meth lab operation? Will Walter and Jesse finally just kiss already and get it over with? We don't know, but we're eager to find out. So we'll be watching the Season 3 finale and the Season 4 premiere at South Lamar and Lake Creek this Sunday at 9pm. Every week after that, well be watching last weeks episode followed by the new episode, recorded on DVR so we can fastforward through commercials.
Join us, this Sunday and every Sunday after that for a BREAKING BAD TV Party at Lamar and Lake Creek. Admission is free, but you can guarantee yourself a seat by purchasing a $5 food and beverage voucher at this link. Seating is limited and on a first come, first served basis.
It's a different scene than the other sneak peek one. Looks to take place right before the other one.Cornballer said:- IMDB with another sneak peek at the season premiere
I don't know if that scene has been released already - they claim it's an exclusive. Spoiler tags if you want to discuss it.
Whatever doubts I had about this show in the past, it has everything calibrated just right now. I have come to enjoy the show's measured pace and its refreshing lack of jumpy editing. Like 'Mad Men,' this show knows when to let itself breathe and when to let moments settle in.
The bleakness I found difficult to take in early seasons is still at the core of 'Breaking Bad'; this is not a show in which there's anyone to root for, per se. But in season 3, the show perfected its approach to good old-fashioned suspense, added some terrific characters to its great core cast and its queasy moral quandaries became ever more compelling and addictive.
At this point, it's just not possible to look away.
The last few weeks have been the hardest part of this wait. It was fine for the rest of it, but now that it's so close, time has dragged to a near standstillSuperimposer said:Just air already dammit!

It gets easier. The fourth season of Mad men was the first one I watched as they aired.Superimposer said:You've had it much worse than me! I only started watching this show 2 weeks ago... and only watched the last episode today. I already can't wait anymore.
And I can't begin to imagine waiting a week for an episode

A stunning, brilliant, terrifying launch to TV's best series.
A taut exercise in withheld disaster, Breaking Bad is riveting.

Comcast is also my internet provider. :/FantasticMrFoxdie said:Theres always the internet.
