Oh shit! So soon. Breaking Bad is the only show on TV that makes my heart race and make me scream in surprise whenever thy pull a big move. Best moment in TV is one minute

So I caught up on this show the past couple of months. I timed it nicely so i saw the season 3 finale last night and am ready for season 4, my first to watch weekly.

Obviously it's a great show and hopefully tonight's premier will take the sting out of the USA World Cup Loss.

Not going to speculate on what happens, but I have an idea or two, which will probably be wrong.

I have never seen an episode of this show.

Guess I should start watching it.

What smokey said. DO NOT START TONIGHT! It won't have the same impact if you go back to the previous episodes after.

hahaha. Jesse's greatest words are yo and bitch.

Is anybody worried that the funny Jesse we've all known for 3 seasons will be extremely mean and serious in this season? It makes sense given the changes he's gone through for sure, but with him killing somebody and now shaving his head and looking mean as fuck I'm worried for the character. Could he possibly bite the bullet this season?

Bryan Cranston Teases 'Bad' Journey Ahead

Definite spoiler in that clip.
Specifically that shot from the season trailer where Walt pulls out the gun and aims it at the camera.

Cranston brings up something I tried to bring up a few pages ago...has there been any other character on television that has changed so drastically year over year. Cranston agrees with me..no, there hasn't.

Tim Whatley talking about Walter White.

Awesome.

I don't think I'd call his character in season 3 "funny". "Tortured" might be more of a fit.

That clip gave me a boner for next week's episode, which is sitting atop my boner for tonights episode.

Boners on top of boners, people.

tortured for much of the season but he still had his light-hearted moments (or maybe I'm looking at it wrong and just seeing him raging made me laugh)

Hell yeah, 13 new episodes. 13 new opening scenes. 13 new final scenes. New characters. New unforgettable scenes and situations. New Breaking Bad!!!

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.

Half Measures final scene is still insane. "Run"
For me that was probably the most gripping, intense, holy-shit-oh-my-fucking-god scene ever on a TV show (and yes, I've watched a lot of TV). Somehow they managed to top "One Minute" — in the same season, at that. I was pissed that no one else I knew at the time was watching the show so I couldn't just call them and scream.

It was well shot and so god damn tense. It was sooo good.

How do you guys rank the seasons so far? I think my ranking would be something like 3>1>2, but they were pretty much all great.

Thus far S2 E1-12>S1>S3>>>>>>>S2 E13.

the end of half measures is kind of a stretch, with walt getting there at exactly the right moment.

but still tense

I stopped looking at this show as being plausible at all. But it's still a very entertaining drama. If you can suspend disbelief then it's great.

I assumed Walt got there and sat until jesse started walking up, and not that he grabbed his coat, drove, turned the corner and bam got there.

Digging into "Full Measure" - this opening sequence with young Walt and Skyler looking at their house is brutal.
One of my favorite brutal scenes: IFT; Skyler stands on the heated tile and looks into the mirror. Her last attempt to regain control has failed. She doesn't really want anything to do with Ted. She is broken.

I am not a fan of Skyler's faults. However, the show is so thorough with its character destruction that it becomes almost impossible for me to avoid feeling sympathy for these easily despised characters.

In one of the recent interviews I read, Bryan Cranston says they shot the final scene of Half Measures with him hitting the guys - picking the gun, hesitating and looking at Jesse, realizing there was no other way and then shooting the guy. He said he was shocked at the final cut where they removed all the hesitation at all.

Yup.

Of course they're not going to show him sitting in is car, that would kill all the tension in the scene.

Smart move, it was better this way.

Mike owning the cartel guys in Full Measure with the 70's soundtrack is awesome. Good stuff from David Costabile this episode, too - he's put together a wide portfolio the last few years on BB, The Wire, Damages, and Flight of the Conchords.

Great scene. "She said yes". Only silly part was after Mike throws the shoe and that guy goes running down the hallway, shooting at nothing but the wall in front of him.
