Pretty much yeah.naz said:wtf is a death pool? betting money on who will die next?
lachesis said:Well, people are still working on graphics at this moment. (Right now World News Tonight people are working on it) on orbituary. However, we do need confirmation at this stage I believe. So take it with grain of salt, please.
Death lists... we have certain amount of people already set-up (such as former presidents, pope) already for the graphics, and pictures, etc - so that whenever someone dies, we go on air ASAP with already prepped images and graphics right away. Bad part is, we have to update the graphics every year - and I can't even count how many years we've been updating for Reagan and Pope. (As for Reagan, it did pay off though, since ABC broke the news probably the first.)
anyhow... I guess we would figure out soon enough. If false, go ahead and laugh at me.

I already hit with Dangerfield, missed with Arafat and Reeve, but could make up for it with Carson and Rehnquist.Tritroid said:Pretty much yeah.
Players choose a listing of people they think will die next or relatively soon, and if someone on their list actually does die, they're that much closer to winning.
Yeah, I remember being able to find sites (like MSNBC, etc) with Strom Thurmond "remembrance" pages through Google long before he actually died.naz said:Crazy
even if false that is some crazy info to know - I learned something
Me too. Faster than any thing else.Azih said:GAF is my primary news source for *everything*.
But really sad day.

- I just spoke to the director (who ordered the graphics).... and and it's confirmed that it's a false alarm. (the inside source apparently really rushed.)
Here's the kicker - apparently he just went to see his dentist, and that's it.
Sorry for the confusion. (I'm glad that he's not dead though!)
